PERSONAL BACKGROUND: Jun was born and raised in Manchester. His parents worked as performers themselves which caused his fascination in performance to blossom from a young age. Jun's mother was a ballerina while his father was a B-boy. Jun grew up learning a mix of both dance types. His dream to be an idol stemmed from his parents' encouragement. Jun took up vocal lessons before beginning to audition for companies, he wanted to train to be a good performer all round. He became a trainee at the age of 16 which gave him plenty of time to grow his abilities however he left the agency at 17 due to mistreatment. Jun began auditioning for more companies and was finally accepted into SM entertainment. He continued training towards his dream, improving his vocal, dance and rap ability and eventually was offered the chance to join season 2 of Produce 51.
