the background of the house they're staying in this chapter is based on a house literally right down the street frm me

also this is mostly a filler bc i suck lol

and i rly wanted some humor b4 things got ba d

& there's a lot of time skips????

jeongguk's old house had always been "haunted", and well, a few certain people don't quite believe in the whole "haunted house" spiel (those people being taehyung, yoongi, and namjoom). however, saturday night, he planned on proving those people wrong by bringing them to the now abandoned house from jeongguk's childhood for an entire night.

taehyung ended up convincing jimim and seokjin to go, and hoseok ended up tagging along because he didn't want to be left outㅡeven if he would rather die than go.

(needless to stay, jeongguk ended up spending way more time with the people he used to "hate" than he had originally intended.)

jeongguk, being the excessive person he is, decided it wouldn't be a proper visit if they didn't have the right equipment. seokjin crossed his arms, pursing his lips at the six other people who were now also sitting in taehyung's living room. he sighed, clearly giving in.

"i'm the only one here with a part time job, so i guess i'll give up some of my money for this." he glared at jeongguk. "only if we go to target."

jeongguk nodded. "target is good."

seokjin pushed away from where he was leaning against the wall. "you owe me."

the group split up. hoseok, seokjin, taehyung, and jeongguk were assigned to take care of the top half of the list, and the others were assigned to the bottom.

they spent well over thirty minutes in the store, keeping the other three waiting in the parking lot for ten of those minutes, while they continued looking for the necessary thingsㅡwhich they were almost done with.

keyword being almost.

"why are we in the shampoo section?" jeongguk asked. "we came here for ghost hunting shit."

"because i need shampoo, and this isn't just about you," seokjin said, rolling his eyes.

hoseok giggled taking the bottle of shampoo from the brunette and tossing it into the cart. "taehyung, what's next on the list?"

taehyung hummed, scanning the small sheet of paper. "nothing. we're done here."

"fuck yeah!" hoseok whooped before running down the aisle. "last one to the car has to buy everyone a pizza!"

jeongguk and taehyung followed, laughing as they heard seokjin yell in frustration.

"are you kidding me? i still have to go through the checkout!"

"so," yoongi said, kicking his feet up on the dash. "what's the story behind this place, hm? couple dies from old age in a chair? built on a dog's grave?"

"no, actually. this house is called 'the hannah house', because the family that lived here before us were foreigners with a few sons and a daughter named hannah," jeongguk said, rolling down his window.

"wow. that sounds so scary," namjoon snorted.

"shut up! i wasn't finished," jeongguk said, leaning back in his seat. "hannah was the oldest kid and had a part time job and was the main one supporting the family. her parents had always sort of had psychological issues and well, when she was at work day, they snapped and drowned the three boys: one in the upstairs bathroom, one in the basement, and one in the well in the backyard.
