Hiccup looked up at his father, who stared straight ahead with an unreadable expression. "Dad?" He asked, wincing when his father's burning gaze turned on him. "What do you want, you cancer riddled little brat?" He snapped at his son, who flinched back at his harsh words. His father had never liked him, because his mother had died giving birth to him. He had been enraged to learn that his son had cancer as well. "We're here, go in." The man snarled, looking at his son. Hiccup nodded, grabbing his bag, and swinging it over his shoulder and getting out of the car. He flinched as his father sped away the tires screeching loudly.

"Hello, how can I help you?" The receptionist asked, before looking up and noticing Hunter. "Ah, hello, Hunter. I'll let them know your here, just go back there." She said, smiling warmly at him. He walked back into the examination room, and soon, his doctor, Adam Whittle.

Adam looked up at Hunter grimly as he finished his examination. "I hate to break it to you, Hunter, but you have progressed to stage three brain cancer." He told him, as Hunter's eyes widened in shock. "Here, I'll show you to your room." Adam said, already knowing that Hunter's father had sped off.

Hunter sat in his room with a saddened sigh, just as a gentle knock sounded at his door. He opened it to see a young, blue eyed teen with white hair standing there, grinning nervously. "Uh, hi, my name is Jackson Frost, and I noticed we're sort of roommates, so, want to hang out?" Hunter smiled back. "Sure, I'm Hunter Haddock. I feel like we'll be good friends." He said with a small grin.
