Lincoln Loud, only son of the Loud family, sat nervously in his room. He stood up and began to pace the room, addressing the audience.
"In the Loud family, it's hard to find a sibling who likes the things you do. I remember the time I tried to get Lily to like my hobbies."
He chuckled to himself at the memory before continuing.
"If you're lucky enough to have a sibling who likes the things you do, you'd better latch on to them.
"Last week, I asked Luna to give me guitar lessons. She agreed, but I've found her methods a bit too...blunt."
Flashback
Lincoln was shyly plucking a string of Luna's guitar. She snatched it out of his hands.
"That's not how you rock out, brah!" She exclaimed. She began to play a loud, long solo, so loud that Lincoln flew out the room.
Present time
"I decided to go to a professional, and I'm worried to tell Luna. I guess I shouldn't be, since we're really close." He chuckled again, this time sounding a bit unsure of himself.
"Right?"An hour later...
Lincoln stood outside Luna's room. Luan was at a birthday party, and Luna was in the bathroom, so he was waiting for her.
He walked in, shut the door, grabbed her guitar and started to play it. Although it was terrible, he was imagining he was playing for SMOOCH.
"Thank you!" He shouted, smashing the guitar against the floor. Luna did it all the time; however, Lincoln did it a bit too firmly, and it broke into pieces.
"Oh my-"
He heard the bathroom door, signaling Luna was near. He hastily attempted to move the guitar under the bed, but the door opened.
"You ready for your next lesson, dude?" Luna questioned cheerfully, entering the room.
"Um, about that...I'm gonna go to a professional..." Lincoln smiled nervously, as Luna spotted the broken heap that was once her guitar.
"LINCOLN!" She yelled furiously, shoving him to check out the damage.
One look told her it couldn't be fixed. She began to breathe heavily as her face reddened with fury, her shoulders quickly rising and falling.
"Um, I-I'm so sorry! I'll leave..."
Luna raced to the door and slammed it. Lincoln gulped fearfully.
All of a sudden, she snapped, and punched Lincoln in the face, making him reach for his nose. Luna kicked him and he fell to the ground, yelping in pain.
Punch after punch landed on his now-bleeding body, but Luna didn't care.
She saw her broken guitar and got angrier, and she snatched it up and bashed it over his head. He passed out, but Luna still didn't care. She kept beating him with the guitar.
"LUNA!"
Luan was standing in the doorway, all her comedy props on the floor.
"WHAT IS-LINCOLN!" She cried, racing over to the limp form.
Luna stopped, and finally got a good look at Lincoln. He had a black eye, bloody nose, and it looked like he had some broken bones.
Luna started to panic. "I-I didn't mean it!"
Luan pulled out her smartphone, crying as she called 911.
The yelling had attracted the other siblings, who prepared for the Sister Fight Protocol. They were unpleasantly surprised.
"Lincoln!" Lori screamed in shock, rushing over to him.
"Call Mom and Dad!" Leni instructed, gently squatting down to touch Lincoln.
"Don't touch him!" Lisa ordered. "You might worsen the injury."
The ambulance arrived, and Lucy went to bring them to the room.
"What happened here?" A paramedic questioned, to no avail; all the girls were sobbing uncontrollably, and unable to answer.
Lincoln was loaded onto the stretcher when the paramedic asked who was riding with him. It was decided that Lynn would go, so Lori could drive, and none of the others were willing (even if Luna had wanted to, Luan would've tackled her).
Lori climbed into the drivers' seat of Vanzilla. She put her head down, sighed, and asked in a surprisingly calm voice, as she began to drive, "What happened?"
Luan shot a disgusted look at Luna, her eyes red. "Why don't you tell her, Luna?"
Everyone turned to face the 15 year-old. Any other time, she wouldn't care so much; however, she knew her siblings would most likely pummel her once they knew the full story.
"Well," she began, "I decided to give Lincoln guitar lessons. Well, h-he asked me. I went to the bathroom, and when I got back to give him today's lesson, h-he'd ac-ac-he broke my guitar on a-accident."
She sniffled before continuing. "He apologized and said he was going to a professional, and I got upset about that and the guitar. I punched him and started attacking him, and then I-t-t-then I beat his head with the-I beat his head w-w-with the guitar."
Lucy attempted to attack her, quickly followed by the twins. Even Lily tossed her rattle, and babbled angrily. They were all jerked back by their seatbelts, to Luna's relief.
The drive to the hospital was loud, yet quiet. Eveyone was crying and sniffling, especially Luna.
"M-maybe it just looked really bad," Leni spoke weakly, trying to comfort everyone as they pulled into the hospital parking lot.
"Based on the fact that our brother was repeatedly hit in the head, odds are he will have...significant...brain damage..."
Lisa's voice cracked at the end of her sentence, and she began to sob.
Everyone got out the car and rushed into the hospital.
"Lincoln Loud! Is he okay?! Where is he?!"
The clerk was startled, but she typed Lincoln's name in and read from the list. "He's in emergency surgery right now. He was in critical condition; his heart stopped, but they got him back. Don't know if he'll make it through the night."
Ignoring their horrified faces, the nurse pulled her glasses down and stared at them.
"Now, how many of you?"
