*Louis POV*
I rushed to my class, hoping to not be late. Only I could do this, forget one of the most important days of my life, that is.
My mom would always say, "The first day of high school is the most important day, because, it's the first day, to show your teachers who you really are."
The rushed thought caused me to pick up my pace; I finally got to class, but before I could enter I was stopped, I slowly turned to look at the hand that was on my shoulder,
"Hey, so I was wondering if, you want to go out tonight?" I looked into Liam's brown eyes.
"Yeah, uh, sure." I stood there for a moment lightly blushing. He was one of the most popular guys in school. And I guess, I was one of the most popular guys too. It made sense that we date, with social status and all. Though it doesn't matter much, it made sense in our minds. I honestly never thought he would work up the courage though. Liam gave me a crooked smile before walking into class, me following.
----
"Okay, today we will be starting a new project, since it is only the first day, I figures, we should start off with getting to know some people in the classroom, so you will be paired up-" The class erupted into joyful whispers, deciding who their partner will be, cutting Ms. Markoff off. She cleared her throat loudly before talking again. "You will be assigned a partner to write a one thousand word essay on." The class groaned, causing me to chuckle, almost silently. Ms. Markoff looked around the room before grabbing her clipboard and calling off the groups. I zoned out for awhile before hearing Liam's name called out.
"Jaymie Peterson & Liam Payne,
Callie McPhereson & Josh Edwards
And last but not least,
Louis William Tomlinson & Harry Marcel Styles"I looked around for my partner, and found him, I think. I've never really talked to him before, but I heard he was a bit nerdy.
-
I was getting up to walk over to him, notebooks in hand, when I bumped into someone in front of me, "Oops!" I looked up to see Harry. "Hi." He whispered, timidly.
"You're Harry right? I think we're partners." I sat back in my seat and gestured for him to sit next to me. He awkwardly took it. I stared at him, taking in his details. His hair was slicked back with what seemed to be a 2 tons of hair gel. He had thick rimmed glasses, and was wearing a long sleeved shirt with a light brown sweater vest and a pair of brown slacks.
He would be cute without all the hair gel, and glasses, I thought. I guess I was staring at him for a little too long because he cleared his throat grabbing my attention. "Oh, uh, sorry." I said with a sheepish smile. "No it's okay." He had a deepish voice, I never really expected. I noticed he blushed a little when he said that.
"So what are we supposed to say about each other? And when is it due?" He looked at me like I was stupid and gestured to a blue sheet on the table, oh. "Go Louis," I thought to myself. I looked over the blue sheet, it was due in three weeks and we had to ask our partner 100 questions which were listed below.
"Shall we start?" He asked. "Yeah sure!" Harry was actually really nice and respectful, unlike most guys at this school, I rolled my eyes at the thought. "Is something wrong?" Harry said snapping me out of my thoughts, I looked at him. "No, no." I said gesturing with my hands that everything was okay. "I was just thinking about how you are nice and respectful unlike other guys at this school." He looked up at me, with a smile creeping up on his face, accompanied with a slight blush, I chuckled.
We worked for a few minutes, getting through 9 questions before he asked me one that wasn't on the list, "What period do you have next?"
I grabbed my schedule out of my bag, and scanned over it.
"Science, its across the campus." I smiled. He pulled his out and looked over it, "Oh, so do I." His face brightened. "Maybe we can walk there together." I smiled at the thought of being friends with Harry. We got through one more question before he looked up at me with the blush still on his face, but his features were more timid this time, he asked me a question, that, again, wasn't on the list, "Can I have your number?" I gave him a sincere smile, before handing him a slip of paper with my number on it.
I looked over and saw Melanie staring at me, with a very confused look in her eyes. Liam, who happens to be her partner also having the same look on his face.
I shrugged it off and shook my head, going back to answering the questions on the blue sheet, before the bell rung.
