waterparks: passionate rant

let me just start off by saying that I love all three members in waterparks with all my heart.
They are honestly the sweetest, most loving, most caring people I've ever met. They're such kind hearted people and most definitely deserve the world, they deserve to have a beautiful life.
They're such genuine, down to earth, quirky people, and I couldn't ask for a better band to help me through all the shit I go through.

Their music is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I love it because they bring something new into the world, they have their own personalities, and they know how to show it.
I haven't found a single band that sounds like waterparks. They just have something different, something unique to them, which lures you in. They're so open and down to earth with their music, it's incredible. It's incredible someone can do such things with art. It's incredible the amount of imagination they have within their minds.

They bring in this, punk sound, but add edm and pop to it and make it sound so extraordinary and original.

Every song of theirs gives you a story, all of which are completely different and have so much meaning behind them. Every song gives you different emotions, whether it'd be happy, excited, to depressed and angry, so vary from different emotions.
Not only emotions, they vary from different genres of music too, adding different styles into them, like pop, rock, punk, edm and hardcore singing. They acknowledge other genres, and I adore that.

And their lyrics; holy hell, don't get me started on their lyrics. THEY HAVE SUCH BEAUTIFUL AND POWERFUL LYRICS. They're so metaphorical. So descriptive. So deep. They hold so many emotions within them which makes the songs even more powerful. They show so much of themselves.
I think it's important that men, like waterparks, express their emotions. I think it's important waterparks talk about how they feel. Talk about anxiety. Talk about depression. I think it's important that they talk about mental health.
Not only is it helping them, it's helping inspire young men out there to speak up, to get help, that it's okay that they're feeling this way. And the fact that waterparks are teaching young men through music, through art, through something they love, is also soooo important as well. It teaches you so much, and it's so much more inspiring then they I think they realise. But it's not only young men that learn from this, it's everyone, it's so important people learn this.

Listen to their newest album 'entertainment,' you can hear and feel how much time and effort they put in it, you can feel that it's real art. That it's true. You sense all the meaning and why it's important. The beauty of it is so clear, and not to mention it's such a fucking bop of an album.

The variety of genres is what makes me love it even more. From 11:11 to We Need To Talk to TANTRUM to Crybaby, it's such a masterpiece.
And songs like Peach (Lobotomy) are so powerful, singing about a love that basically destroys you. I have so much respect for this band.

But Entertainment isn't their only good album. Double Dare, Cluster, BlackLight and Airplane Conversations are just as beautiful and powerful as their newest album. They've grown so much throughout their music, not one song has been a disappointment because they all bring their own personality.

They're so smart with their music, with incredible guitar and drum playing to referencing their older songs in their newer music.
I also love the fact that they release albums and eps in alphabetical order.

Airplane Conversations being their first EP.

Blacklight being their second.

Cluster being their third.

Double Dare being their debut.

Entertainment being their newest release.

They're such incredible artists, and if you've never heard of them, nor listened to their music, I would highly recommend. They a great band and are definitely worth your time :)
