The Moon's Child

Prologue

Luna's P.O.V
The moon always attracted me... I did not know why.... Every time I would look at the moon I would feel as if I belonged there... The pains of the world did not matter as long as I knew the moon kept an eye on me...

*Many years ago*
3rd P.O.V
There had been a raging war between the direct decedents of the sun and the moon since the beginning of time. There was a well known prophecy about the child of the moon who would bring peace.

The sun king Solaris wanted to bring the moon kingdom under his control and kill the moon child before it could fulfill the prophecy.

At that time Queen Lilah , queen of the moon kingdom, was giving birth to a beautiful daughter. When the girl was born she was really beautiful. She had soft black hair like the night sky and pale skin like ivory. The kingdom was extremely happy with the birth of the princess.

The king and queen named her Luna. Luna had a crescent shaped birthmark on her shoulder which looked like the moon. The people were convinced she was their savior, hero.....

When Solaris heard the news he attacked the kingdom to get rid of his future problem. The moon kingdom was not ready for the attack and was seized.

The queen was able to get the princess out of the castle with a trusted maid. Solaris captured the king and queen. "Tell me! Where is that little pest!! I will kill her!!" He demanded. "You'll never get to my daughter!!" , the moon king, Lumière said. Solaris slapped him and ordered to the guards, " Lock them away out of my sight!!"

King Lumière and queen Lilah were locked up in the prison. Lilah said, " I know that my daughter will come back one day..... She will save us and our kingdom... " and she broke down into sobs. The once happy kingdom lied in pieces in the hands of a cruel, power-hungry king.....

*somewhere far away*
The faithful maid passed on the little princess to her sister. "Take care of her..." she said, "she was born for something big.... " .

The sister was saddened by the child's faith. "Why would this happen to an innocent child. I will raise you as my own child Luna..."

Hey guys its my first story. I wrote it on my own. I read many stories so if it matches with any other story my purpose was not to steal it. It would be a coincidence so please don't say I stole it.
