Her body moved against the darkness, a cold shiver running across her skin and leaving goosebumps in its wake. As her hands lingered against the ground she moved away from the crate, keeping her foot pressed against the box. She didn't want to lose it so easily.

Vibrations ran past her ears, all of the sounds coming from the once silent crate. What was in there? Still running her fingertips across the rough ground she felt cold, hard metal pushed into the cracks of the floor. Probably brass. Without a thought she pried the key off of the ground and quickly rushed back over to the crate.

Finding the lock that the key could perfectly fit into, Alex pushed the key into the lock hearing it click as she turned it slowly. Her heart was beating rapidly, her skin forming a layer of sweat. She pulled the padlock off and threw it the side, she didn't care about that now. The padlock held no importance at all.

Her hands shook in anxiety as she pried the crates lid open. The pressure rose from the chest, the vibrations louder and hitting her ear drums in a screeching pitch. Her hands dived towards her ears in agony, her lips parting from the pain. As the pitch destroyed her ear drums it crawled through her blood stream, it's nails scratching her artery walls. Pain ran across her skin, the paleness turning red raw. As the lid of the crate slammed open the pain increased. Each limb in her body screamed in excruciating pain, the muscles tightening and cramping up. Her head became hazy and despite the blurriness in her vision she stared at the bright light pushing itself out of the crate and towards Alex's trembling body. As the white light mixed with the dark gas that fought its way pass the air, it dived at Alex's chest. Alex's body rose from the ground as the gas lingered through her lungs, into her blood stream and clutching onto the plasma that ran through her body.

Every limb shook at the new presence and her mind was invaded with another. As she attempted to stand and gain her balance, she fell towards and woke up with a gasp.

Green replaced the black, a small breeze twisting with her white locks. Her spine was pressed harder into the bark and she felt a spike of pain across her temple. Light poured in through the branches causing her sensitive eyes to squint. Her bones began to crack, the muscles moving. Pain danced across her muscles, pushing between her organs, each bone snapped into place. Her pale skin stretched, hair covering the goosebumps. Her eyes closed in worry and as she opened them back open again she was on all fours staring at the ground.

She glanced over her shoulder cautiously, worried what she would see in place instead of her skin. White fur coated her skin, the hairs shining silver when a sliver of light would shine across it. After taking in the colour of her wolf, her eyes skittered to Ambers.

The dark brown of her fur shifted as she nudged closer to Alex, her eyes admiring Alex's wolf. After a few minutes, Amber tilted her head at Alex before speeding through the branches and along the gaps of the trees. Alex quickly followed, her paws padding against the fallen leaves. As she padded she felt her limbs ache, the slight pain running across the wolfs body. Her brain pulsed in agony, the invasion of another pushing it against her skull and she winces at the pain.

Feeling the strange movement of her wolf she sped up her pace, her legs felt cramped and tight- as if they hadn't been used in awhile. Her breath was heavy to begin with, but as she dove past Ambers running pace all exhaustion disappeared and the cramps began to leave her muscles. The wind blew gently against her fur, the slight breeze causing a sigh of pleasure to leave Alex. Any problems or worries she had before she shifted quickly left her mind as her nails dug into the dirt. The euphoria feeling of running in her wolf form radiated through her entire being and she relished in it. She didn't know how long it had been since she had last run like this, or she just couldn't remember but she loved it. She loved the freedom. The passing trees and branches whizzed past her body as her speed quickened and the crunch of leaves left a feeling of satisfaction in its wake.
