On a nation's New Year's Day, as one year transitions into the next, they will shout "Happy New Years!" and sometimes kiss whatever's closest to them/is in their hand.
They can't even control it. It just happens.
This is due to a large amount of their population shouting that exact phrase at the exact same time.
What's worse is that nations with multiple time zones will say it every hour for as many time zones as there is in their country. Also many times two or more nations will do it at the same time.
