Chapter 18: Remember Me

Steve laid unconscious on a concrete floor. Small drops of blood dripped off his head onto the floor as he laid there motionless, sleeping and dreaming of something better than the nightmare he was in.

He dreamed of him and Bucky back when they were both in the army. Back then it was peaceful for the most part but most of all it was just the two of them against the world. Now something much worse lied for the both of them. Now hydra poked his ugly head up again trying to break them even more.

************Earlier that day************

"Daddy?"

One fragile word, one innocent word that came out of Steve's mouth. He looked into the eyes of the man he loved more that life itself. But those eyes weren't Bucky's, they were emotionless eyes, eyes of a killer. Everything at once register to Steve innocent brain and he realized what was going on.

In that moment  Bucky turned Steve around facing him towards Sam in a choke hold pointing the gun to Steve's head. Sam instantly pulled his guns out aiming them at Bucky. "Drop it!" He yelled trying to take control of this situation.

"I don't think that will be happening Mr. Wilson. You see he doesn't listen to you, he only listens to me." Zemo said stepping out of the shadows behind Bucky. Sam looked worried at both Steve and Sam but he kept his ground. "Bucky drop it!!"

Steve's mind was in full swing Little mode. This wasn't his daddy, Bucky must've been brainwashed again by that monster! Seeing Zemo made Steve even more mad but that emotion was ruled out. He was more scared and upset. He fought against it but since he mind was already too little tears started to form in his eyes and occasionally fall down his cheeks.

"W-W-What have you d-d-done to b-b-Bucky?" Steve managed to say trying his hardest to sound big. Zemo smirked at his upsetment and his failed attempt at trying to be big. "It's quiet alright Captain, leave the conversation to the adults. I'll get to you in a second." Steve looked at Sam like he was his daddy. All he wanted was to run to Sam and have him protect him from everything that ways happening.

Sam heart broke seeing Steve so worried and scared. "Alright here's what going to happen, you going to let go of Cap and un-brainwash Barnes." Sam said to Zemo but all he did was laugh.

"I don't think you get the situation that happening here. I'm in control of Mr. Barnes here and what I say he's going to do he will do." He raised his hand and Bucky pointed the pistol in the air and fired off a shot. He then pointed it back to Steve's head.

"I don't believe you. He could never hurt Steve, brainwashed or not." Sam said pointing his guns at Zeno instead of Bucky. "Really? Do you really want me to test that?" Zemo said with a smirk. Sam didn't say a word but kept his guns aimed at him.

There was a moment of tension until it was suddenly broken. "Sam!!" Steve shouted as Crossbones came up behind Sam punching him across the ground. Steve struggled in Bucky's arms but as he did Bucky pressed the gun against his head harder "Don't move." He said so sternly and without emotion.

Sam struggled to get up from that hard hit. By the time he did Crossbones came back over and hit him back into the ground knocking him out cold. Steve stood there in shock witnessing everything. "Sammy......" he said increasing upset seeing his second daddy lay almost lifeless. Now there was no one to save Steve.

Crossbones and Zeno walked back over to Steve and Bucky. Crossbones laughed looking at the upset Steve "Awww, did we hurt you friend? Don't worry we won't leave you out!" While Bucky held Steve Crossbones punched him in the stomach. He leaned forward in pain, then looked back up at Crossbones and spit in his face. "I twan do tis all tay!" He said trying to sound badass but it turned more Little that he expected.
