Chapter 5.
Love&Neglect.
Pandora’s POV.
It’s two weeks since I went to visit my Mum hospital and I cut my wrists; I wanted something better for myself. My education was the only thing I had left and I wasn’t going to let it go. I haven’t spoken to Ivan in days it really hurt me. I just don’t know why he thinks I owe him something like I didn’t ask him to take me in he just did. I sighed slowly as I ran my fingers through my hair; this reminded me so much of him, like the time he said my hairline would recede if I kept on running my hands trough my hair. I chuckled to myself as I finished washing the dishes. The sweet scent of lemon fairy liquid floated through the room, felt like aroma therapy. I sighed and walked out the kitchen to greeted by Ivan’s brother Ray and the big grin on his face.
“Well what do we have here; me and you alone, maybe I can finally get my payment”
“No leave me alone” I stood my ground I wasn’t afraid anymore; I become so much stronger.
“Sorry No can do” I held my shoulders the door burst open it was Keon.
“Erm Panodra can I talk to you please” He said with arched eyebrows looking at the way Ray held me.
“Yeah sure” I pushed Ray off me full force and grabbed my jacket on the way out the door to talk to Keon.
“So this is how your moving?” Keon asked as we walked down the jaggered road.
“Huh?” I was so confused.
“Ivan loves you and your going after his brother”
“What?! Ivan loves me?” So this is why he has been acting different; this is what he couldn’t tell me.
“Yes he does your meant to know but on a level let’s talk why are you going after his brother?”
“Ohh and it’s a long story”
“I’m all ears”
“Okay” I told him everything my Mum, Ray and how he wanted a payment.
“Why didn’t you tell Ivan?”
“I just didn’t think he would believe me and I didn’t want to cause any trouble”
“Yeah I kinda get where your coming from but still”
“Yeah”
“I’m going to tell him” Keon said. My heart stopped for maybe a nano-second or so.
“NO! YOU CAN’T HE IS GOING TO GET ANGRY PLEASE DON’T”
“WHAT DO MEAN DON’T TELL HIM?! HE NEEDS TO KNOW I CAN’T LET MY MAN’S GIRL BE GOING THROUGH THIS”
“LOOK I CAN HANDLE IT ALRIGHT, THERE’S NO NEED TO TELL HIM”
“YOU CAN’T HANDLE IT AND YOU KNOW THAT YOU CAN’T; IF I DIDN’T WALK IN HE COULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO YOU” His nostrils were flaring and the vein in his forehead became visible.
“Please don’t tell him; I’m begging you” I pleaded with everything in me.
“Fine” That one word gave me the re-assurance that my secret was safe with him.
“Thank you, thank you so much; God bless” I kissed his cheek and gave him the biggest hug ever.
“You’re welcome” He said as he wiped the kiss of his cheek.
“Come let’s go to CJ’s house so that Ray doesn’t sink his teeth into you” Keon smiled as we began to walk to CJ’s house.
We got to CJ’s house and walked into the living room. My eyes scanned every inch of the living room and the faces I didn’t recognise.
“CJ this is Pandora Ivan’s girl” Keon chuckled as he sat down next to CJ. I walked and sat next to Harriet.
“Hi you okay?”
“Yeah I’m f_” I was cut off by someone girl’s entrance she had long brown hair she looked white but her skin was slightly tanned.
“Erm who are you?” She said with a screw face.
“Erm I.. am...” I was stuttering she is so intimidating.
“She is Ivan’s girl” Keon said as he screwed her back.
“Is she now?! I thought I was Ivan’s girl” She spat. Everyone looked at each other and started laughing. She kissed her teeth and walked out.
“Harriet and Pandora can you guys go upstairs please we need to talk business” Keon said as Harriet grabbed my hands and pulled me to the hallway. She closed the door and put her ears to the door.
“Harriet what are yo_” I was cut off by her shushing me. I shrugged and put my ears to the door.
“Okay so you’re telling me that the Cranedale boys are tryna bless it” It sounded like Kareem’s voice.
“Yes but I think its a trap the Cranedale boys never bless fights though”
“Look yeah we need to think of how we are going to go about this situation this feud has been going on for years even my cousin was involved time ago”
“But the thing I don’t understand is that why are we involved? Just because we live in Cranston estate they wanna bang us up”
“That’s how it’s been for time some postcode war shit; but we can’t let them bang us up”
“Wait one min” CJ opened the door. Me and Harriet looked up.
“Can you guys go upstairs now fo_” He was interrupted by a knock on the door. CJ opened the door and it was Ivan. I smiled instantly and jumped on him giving him a bear hug. It didn’t feel right; he didn’t hug me back, in fact he pushed me off and screwed me. I stood there puzzled looking like an idiot.
“Ivan?”I called him and he just aired me. I swallowed the embarrassment and hurt as tears began to fall down my cheeks. All the boys went back inside the front room and Harriet began to comfort me.
“Why is he doing this?” I cried as tears fell down my cheek.
“Don’t worry honey he will come around” Harriet rubbed my back as I continued to cry.
Ivan’s POV.
She’s crying I could hear her tears. I felt like such a prick; I just wanted to go up to her and bear hug her.
“Ivan?” I was distracted by Keon.
“Yes?”
“She’s crying”
“And?!” I spat, I know I love her and I want to stop her from crying but I don’t want to give in.
“So Ivan what we gonna do about the Cranedale boys?”
“Hmmm let them attack first we can’t go looking for fights”
“True” We all agreed and began to play FIFA.
“Ivan?” Pandora’s voice echoed through my ears; I looked up at her.
“Yes”
“Can we talk please?”
“Okay” I got up and walked out the door and into the hallway.
“Ivan I have something to tell you...”
“Yes?”
“Erm... I ...”
