Unspoken Secrets

Chapter 8

Evil laughter was heard in the darkness.

Peoples scream were heard throughout the burning village.

Heavy breathing and footsteps running were heard.

Fotsteps were running toward the sound of the swords clinking and shouting.

Arriving to the sound of sword clinking, it revealed Takanori and Ryuzo were in a intense fatal battle.

Suddenly, Takanori looked over and shouted "Koume!"

"Onii-chan!"

Her eyes widen as she witnessed Ryuzo pierced her brother in his heart with his claw.

"NOOOOOO!"

Koume jolted up in bed breathing heavy. She looked around the room, realizing she was dreaming about her brother's death and that she was in Hammy's room.

She noticed the room was dark and assume that she alone. Quietly, she tossed the blanket aside and got off the bed.

She crept slowly to the door and opened slightly to take a peek out of it. There was light in the corridor.

Seeing it was empty, Koume opened the door a little wider and was about to walked out of the room when a voice spokes up.

"Going somewhere?"

Koume slightly startled and swiftly turned around to see Stinger sitting in a chair at the table watching her

He got up and slowly walked over to her, but kept his distance. "Are you hungry?"

Stinger knew well that Koume haven't ate anything since she arrived so she must have been planning to go out to search for something to eat.

Instead of reply, Koume lowered her head and stared down at her stomach that started to growl. She placed one of her hand on her stomach.

A small smile appear on Stinger as he extended his hand toward Koume. "Let's go find you something to eat".

Koume nodded and accept Stinger's hand.

Stinger led Koume over to the table in Hammy's room where a plate of brownie and milk awaits for her. Seeing the plate with brownie, Koume smiles and sat down in the chair. She grabbed the fork beside the plate and start eating the brownie as Stinger sat down in the chair across from her, watching her.

After she was done eating, she drink the milk and then walked back over to Hammy's bed with Stinger following behind her.

He tucked her in and then sat down in the chair beside the bed.

Koume nodded which Stinger knew it indicates that she was thanking him for food and milk.

"Your welcome," He simply said.

The room was silence was a few minute until Stinger decided to speak.

"Koume, I don't know how to make you feel better or take the pain away, but I do understand how it felt to lost someone important to you,"

Koume looked over at Stinger. Seeing that he got her attention, Stinger continued "I also have lost someone important to me which was my older brother. It was hard and painful to deal with him gone from my life, but lucky I have friends who were there for me, letting me know that I'm never alone." He explained.

"What I'm trying to say is that I do understand that you need time to heal the pain and wound" Stinger placed a hand on her head. "When you ready to talk, I'm here for you with my friends. I give you my words that I won't let anything happen to you as long as I'm here".
