Gage's POV
"Jeremy?!" I asked. "What are you doing here?!"
"I'm back from over seeing the Gregory Project and I had a message that said you wanted John to come finish the trim but it's his daughter's birthday tomorrow so I said 'I would do it'. Well I had forgot about my plans with Rachel. So I came here to finish it tonight If that's alright? Oh, and It's nice to see you too buddy and congrats about the engagement! I need to need to meet the girl I've been hearing so much about pronto bro!" He said.
"Oh. I didn't know he wanted tomorrow off... and you will be meeting her pronto bro. Forget about the trim for now. There's no hurry." I said smiling.
I gave his a quick hug and turned to get Vanessa. I walked down the steps where she was sitting at the bottom.
"Is everything okay?" She asked worriedly while getting up.
"It's fine. It's actually one of my best friends. Come upstairs and meet him." I said excitedly.
"Okay." She said warming up.
We walked into the the main room where Jeremy was waiting. I watched his mouth drop when he saw Vanessa. I had the same reaction but I didn't like the way his eyes were tracing up and down her body with that flirty grin. He had a girlfriend for crying out loud not to mention she was my girl. I flashed him a dirty look which didn't seem to phase him. I found that so unusual. We had always respected each other's boundaries with women. He walked over to her grinning and an outstretched hand.
"Jeremy." He said.
She accepted his hand with a light shake and said, "I'm Vanessa."
"Cute name but then again your a cute girl so it works." He said cockily. That's it. I walked over and wrapped my arm around her waist.
"His girlfriend Rachel is a really nice girl we will have to introduce you two." I said winking at her and giving Jeremy a grin.
Ha! She's my fiance and he knows he wont win this battle. His smile faded and he glared at me. What the crap is wrong with him. He's lucky I don't punch his face in for being so forward.
"That would be great!" Nessa responded.
"It's settled then. Maybe a double date next week?" I said questioning Jeremy.
"Yeah dude whatever." He said still expressing he was angry. I'm gonna have to talk to him about that later.
Vanessa excused herself so I had a few moments alone with Jeremy.
"Your freaking dead dude. Keep your eyes off of Nessa! Or you will regret later. I don't care how long we've been friends." I said finally allowing myself to express my own anger. I knew his tricks and I knew what he had been trying to start.
"Can you blame me?" He asked. I thought about it. Vanessa was really one of the prettiest girls I've ever set my eyes on.
"You have a girlfriend Jeremy. In case you forgot and she is my fiance! So yeah!" I replied.
"I know, I know man. I'm done but if you ever let that one go I'll be following her back to America." He said.
"Well don't count on that." I said knowing I could never let this one go.

Vanessa's POV
I was almost finished washing my hands but I was nervous to go back out their. They had something going on between them and I don't think I want to witness or get in the way of fixing it. It seemed to have something to do with Jeremy's girlfriend. I wonder if he was planning on breaking up with her. Poor girl, I hope her heart doesn't get broken. I walked out of the bathroom to see them talking normally. Everything must be resolved. I studied Jeremy's features. He was very attractive. He had shaggy black hair, chestnut colored eyes, pale but not washed out skin, and wore baggy shorts with a paint and dust covered tee which only made him more appealing. He was great looking but I had no interest in him. I looked at Gage who wore a zip up hoodie and perfectly fitted dark wash jeans. You couldn't look better than the way he looked now. Gage took me around the rest of the house which was huge, it had a office, two bathrooms upstairs not counting the ones in the bedrooms and two downstairs- nine all together and I was used to sharing two with my family, four bedrooms, a TV room. Which really seemed to excite him. A game room, and another setting room. My favorite room had to be the master the dark wood tones and windows were perfect. The bathroom was the size of my bedroom back home. I could just stare at it for the rest of the night not to mention the large in ground pool and hot tub out back. It was just the best house I have ever had the pleasure of stepping into.
