Chapter 6 He's insane

Diana's Point Of View
While Dustin and Lucas were talking behind a car about god knows what me and Steve plus some red haired girl who I learned is max the girl Dustin likes, started to barricade the old bus in the junkyard. Steve then went over and banged an old chair on the car they were sitting behind. "Hey! Dickheads! How come the only people helping me is Diana and this random girl!?" They then got up and after hours of work we had barricaded the bus and left a huge pile of meat in the middle of the junk yard.

We then sat in the bus waiting for dart to show up. Steve was flicking his lighter on and off, Lucas was keeping watch, Max was pacing back and forth like Dustin and I was juggling with 3 small balls I found. It was quiet, then Max spoke up. "How do we know this thing isn't a bear?" Then Dustin responded. "Jesus you seriously don't believe us just go home." Then Max sassed back. Wow look who's grumpy past your bedtime?" She then went up the ladder to the roof of the bus to hang out with Lucas. "That's it just act like you don't care." Steve said. "I don't" Dustin replied flatly. Then Steve winked at Dustin. "Why are you winking Steve stop." Dustin said again very flat. "So... Diana.. you juggle?" Steve said quickly to change the subject. "O-oh yea I picked it up when I was in the hospital." I said sadly. We then herd a distant growling noise. We all rushed to the window to see dart slowly creeping up on the pile of meat. "Why isn't he taking the bait?" Steve asked. "Maybe he's sick of cow." Dustin suggests.

Steve grabbed his bat and went outside. I grabbed my golf club and held it close as we watched Steve risk his life. "What is he doing?! He's insane!" Max exclaimed quietly. "He's awesome." Dustin replied. "No he's insane." I said as I headed for the door outside. We herd Lucas yell. "There's another one! 3 o clock!" "I'm a little busy here!" Steve yelled back. The other demogorgon jumped at Steve as I ran behind him and swung my golf club at the other demogorgon, sending the other demogorgon flying across the junkyard. Steve then turned to me and I yelled "We gotta run!" We then turned around again to see dart about to pounce on Steve as he swung his bat and hit dart sending back a meter as Dustin yelled from the bus "Abort! Abort! Abort the plan get back in here!" We ran as fast as we could back into the bus and I pushed, Steve in and jumped in as Dustin Lucas and Max barricade the door again.

We sat on the floor of the rusty bus trying to catch our breath when we herd a thud on the roof. Max slowly went over to the opening and she screamed as the demogorgon sitting on the roof's face opened up. I ran to grab her as Steve pushed us back I then grabbed Lucas and Dustin and pushed them to the other side of the bus. And we all turned to Steve to hear him yell "YOU WANT SOME OF THIS!?! COME AND GET SOME!" He then swung his bat at the demogorgon sending it flying of the roof of the bus. We then all rushed to the windows to see the demogorgons running away. "Are they gone?" Max asked. "I think they are retreating." Lucas said. "To where?" Steve asked. "Home base." Dustin added. "There heading for the lab!" I added. "Dustin then said "We gotta go guys." We headed back down another path towards town and the lab.
