Part 6: The Best Day Ever

  My dad was alive! Do you know how good that feels like? I really thought he died, I mean he had a lot of deadly wounds on his body from Kate. The doctors managed to save him... he has to stay in the hospital for a few weeks though. He couldn't really walk properly, he couldn't really stand up too... yet.
-Dad... how... you are alive!- I said with tears in my eyes, I hugged him.
-Heh... the doctors saved me. I really don't know how... but how are YOU alive, son? I've heard about all of those horrible things in the radio, the police were even searching for you! Thank god you're alive...- my dad said and he hugged me too.
After that I told him about EVERYTHING. About Oakside Park, me saving Jess, the power plant and Slender and his Proxies.
-I'm so proud of you, son...
-But... dad... where is my mom?- I asked.
-She... she didn't make it... she died in the ambulance- my dad said with tears in his eyes.
But... how... why... that was ALMOST the worst moment in my life.
-I didn't even say goodbye to her...- I said.
After I said that, I cried into my dad's arm. Now he was hugging me even harder. A few hours passed. I had to leave now. The doctors had to treat him with something. I walked out of the room we were in. Kyle's parents were already waiting for me in the hallway. We both walked out of the hospital, and we began talking about my dad, Kyle, Slender and all of those stuff pretty much. It was almost the end of the night too, very good. It felt like that night was going on for ages! Anyway, after a few minutes, I saw Slender next to a tree for literally a few seconds. Then, he dissapeared. That wasn't a good sign. That meant something REALLY BAD was about to happen. After about 30 minutes we were almost at Kyle's house. Sunddely I've heard a... scream. It wasn't Charlie's scream or anything. That sounded like... a familiar scream... that was weird. "Ignore it Jack, let's return home"- they said. What? They wanted to ignore that!? It was pretty dark, I went in the direction where the scream came from, really quietly. Suprisingly, Kyle's parents didn't see or hear anything. Good thing I had a flashlight too. It was really creepy, just walking into the darkness. Finally I arrived somewhere. I saw some tents and a fireplace next to them. I looked into one of the tents. I saw something... ugh. I saw Jess. She was bleeding like crazy! It looked like she fainted too. I quickly took off my jacket. I teared it into a few pieces and I covered her wounds with it. I began to carry her in my hands. I don't care how heavy she was, I just had to save her! While I was running, she woke up.
-Jack... Jack...- she said. She was only saying my name...
-It will be okay Jess, it will be okay!
Suddenly, I've heard footsteps pretty far away behind us. I looked back. I saw Slender Man. Now I was running even faster. After a few seconds I looked back again. Slender was much closer to us than last time! Somehow, I ran even faster. I kept saying: "It will be okay, it will be okay...". I looked behind me a few times. Slender was closer, and closer. We were really close to Jess' house. Suddenly, Slender grabbed me. I dropped Jess on the ground. We were so close to her house... I guess it's the end... but no. I saw someone in the darkness. A man. It was Kyle's dad, holding an axe. He quickly cut off Slender's tentacles. After that, he looked at him and he dissapeared. That was really close.
-Kyle! What happened?
-I found Jess in a tent not far away from here... I think she was there with some friends, but they left her...- I said.
We quickly took her to the hospital. The doctors took care of her. After about 40 minutes, I was allowed to talk with her. I went into the room she was in.
-Jack... I want to talk with you...- Jess said. - come a bit closer to me. I did what she said.
-...what do you wanna talk about...?- I asked.
-Jack... you saved me...
She hugged me. That was one of the best moments in my life...
-My friends wanted to sleep in the woods in the tents I was in. A really weird, creepy and thin monster attacked me... they... they just leaved me there... the monster ran after them and then... you came... you are the best person I know, Jack.
-T-thank you I guess...
-Jack... I wanna tell you something...
-...what do you want to tell me then...?
-Jack... I think I... I love you...
