[Betty]
The man gave FP a slightly terrified look before placing his stuff on the floor by the door. "I'm Matt Newman, this is my wife, Cassie Newman and our daughter, Emily Newman." He introduced.
We all smiled and nodded but said nothing.
Still in Jughead's arms, I looked over at Polly. "Jug, what about Polly?" He followed my gaze to her. "She's due any day now. This is no situation for a baby." He sighed and nodded, "Agreed. But I'm afraid we don't have much of a choice. But she'll be okay, and so will the babies."
I nodded and rested my head on his chest. He rested his head on mine and we stood there for a while. I was so grateful to have him there with me. Despite our highly unfortunate situation.
"Juggie! What about Archie and Ronnie?!" I said in panic. "We gotta find Archie!" He nodded, "And we will, try messaging him. Maybe he has his phone."
I nodded and grabbed my phone. I dialled his number and waited as it rung.
"Hello?" I heard Archie say. I smiled and let out a breath of relief.
"You're okay!" I said.
"Yea, yea, I'm okay. My dad and I are at the prison. We have a sell that we are sharing with another family. We're in cell block C. Where are you?"
"At the school," I told him. "When I got there it was full."
"Is Jughead with you?"
"Yes," I replied. "Is Ronnie with you?"
"No," I could hear the sadness in his voice. "Her dad has some underground hideout that he build in case of a natural disaster. He thought they'd be safer there. I wanted to go with her, but he wouldn't allow it. He said only his family was allowed."
I sighed, "Have you called her?"
"Yea, she said she was okay. But she can't use her phone, only in an emergency."
"Don't worry, once this dies down, we'll find her."
"Listen, Betty, I gotta go. They're organizing the rooms still. Looks like another family might be joining us."
"Okay, I'll keep in touch," I said. "Bye."
"Bye."
I hung up and looked at Jughead. "They're both safe. He's at the prison, Veronica is with her parents in an underground place her dad built."
"He's out of prison?" Jughead asked in shock. I nodded, "I guess so."
"Hi," we both looked up. Emily was standing there, smiling. We were too focused on our conversation to notice that she had walked over to us.
"Hey," I replied. "You're Betty Cooper, right?" I nodded. "I'm Emily, we used to have math together. And I was on the cheerleading squad."
In all honesty, I didn't remember her that well. "Oh, well I wish I could say it's great to see you, but considering the circumstances..."
She laughed, "Yea..." we stood in an awkward silence. I shared a look with Jughead before looking back at Emily. "We should probably-"
The sound of screams interrupted me. It was coming from downstairs. Jughead and I looked at our parents. "Stay here with Polly," I told them. They gave me hesitant looks. But before they could reply, I ran out and I followed FP and Jughead downstairs.
People were running around the halls screaming. We headed in the opposite direction that they were running until we reached the front doors of the school. Officers were nailing wood down and covering the doorway with desks and any other furniture. On the other side of the door we're about seven zombies.
