it was early in the morning and today was mine and brandon's 2 month anniversary. we promised each other that we weren't going to get anything for each other because having each other was already the best gift.

"(y/n) baby," brandon said as he rubbed his eyes, laying down in bed.

"yeah?" i was laying in bed next to him and turned to face him.

"happy 2 months, honey." he smiled and planted a kiss on my forehead.

"happy 2 months, brandon." i smiled and kissed him back on the lips.

he grabbed his phone and connected it to a bluetooth speaker, then it started to blast adorn by miguel.

i smiled and got out of bed as he started to get up and sing.

"you just gotta let my love adorn you, just let it baby!" he sang and laughed. i walked towards him and we started to swerve our hips around on each other, dancing to the music.

"come on, let's go eat." he grabbed my arm and pulled me out the door.

as we walked down the stairs, i could hear blessed by daniel caesar playing from the kitchen.

as we reached the last step, i saw a bunch of rose petals lying down on the kitchen counter, the kitchen was lit by candles and string lights. a big teddy bear rested on the couch, with a box of chocolates and friends was playing on the tv in front of it.

"any place that i can feel you, i just wanna be near you." he pulled me closer to his body.

"yes i'm a mess but i'm blessed to be stuck with you. sometimes it gets unhealthy, we can't be by ourselves we, will always need each other." he smiled as he sang.

he slowly pulled out a small box from his pocket.

"and yes i'm a mess but i'm blessed to be stuck with you." he pulled out the box to show me a ring with the our anniversary engraved onto it.

"happy anniversary, baby. i love you with all my heart and i'm so damn happy i met someone as amazing as you. i promise you no matter what happens, i will always be by your side, even when you're extremely sick, cause that's how much i love you, (y/n)." he handed me the ring and placed it onto my finger. my eyes were watering and so were his.

"brandon arreaga, i'm so happy i have a man like you in my life. i love you so fucking much." i laughed and rested my head onto his chest, feeling his heart beat rise. he wrapped his arms around my waist and swayed me around to the music.
