Chapter 2

DAMAGE

(Miley's POV)

Me and Nikki both hurry in the library that I work at, and Nikki takes a seat in my slightly oversized swivel chair as I take my jacked off and I put it on the coat rack.  "Hey! Can I go play with the 3D printer?!?"  asks Nikki, quite energetic.  " Sure.." I growl, not giving much attention to her rapid energy as she practically flies into the room where the 3D printer was, (she didn't know it took ages for the printer to actually print something).  I walk over to the part of the library that had a square formation of computers and chairs-- put perfectly in order by yours truly.

I quickly walk over to the corner right computer, the best spot in the entire library, it had the pretty city lights that weren't in our small neighborhood.  I quickly turned on the computer as my fingers flew across the keyboard to type the very long password.  I looked at my watch and sighed, it was about 12:00 A.M.  The exact time I would eat milk and cookies while watching a movie with my parents... Goodness I miss them.  I finish typing the password and a pop-up flies onto the screen where I type the password of the computer again, (1777556_IS_MY_PASSW0RD&&&) and a secret room hiding in the 3D printer room opens up.  Nikki jumped about ten feet into the air as the loud noise the room made when opening flew into our ears, causing us to become quite alarmed or suprised.  Nikki stood right in front of the entrance of the dark, secret room.  I grab my flashlight that was sitting on the counter as I strolled over to the 3D printer room.  I snapped the flashlight on and gently pushed Nikki out of the way of the room, instantly snapping out of her trance.

I shined the flashing into the room, the light showed a huge cavern, with bookshelves and bookshelves full of books.  Nikki gasps as I walk into the room full of books and she slowly walks behind me.  "You scared?" I ask, laughing as she lightly pushes me saying, "Nuh-uh!" .  She mutters something and avoids my eye contact, "Hmm?" I sorta laugh until I turned my head to see Nikki, who was crying-- or pouting.  " Sorry..." I mumble, just loud enough for her to hear me.  Just then we both hear movement further in the dark room, (which was full of mazes that were made by the bookcases).  "Close you're eyes.  Do not open them until I tell you to.  Okay?"

    She nods and shuts her eyes, as tight as she possibly could.  I gently grab her arm to guide her through the maze, avoiding the shadowy spots-- I     have my reasons to.  This whole library was cursed, and the curse specifically target the wanderers who come through the secret door.  The shadows are spirits who hate human kind, they will turn into your worst nightmares if you step in them.  I guided her as carefully as I could, and I shined the flashlight into most of the shadows, exposing the darkness where the spirits live.

Then we hear movement again, this time closer-- much closer.  Nikki lets go of my hand then grasps my arm, seemingly as tight as she could, " NIKKI!"  I hiss in a whisper, trying not to find out what was making the movement.  "It's... Happy.  Its happy to see new people.... New people....."  Nikki says as if we were still at home, "Eh?!"  I whisper, assuming it was at least a tiny bit safe.  "Its happy....to see new people....to EAT!"  She suddenly yells as pulls me away from the creature, causing me to trip a bit until we ran in a sorta good sync.  I yank her to my right as a enormes three headed dog breaks down the bookshelves behind us.  I guide Nikki as we both avoid the flying books that came from the explosions made by the running dog.  We make our way over to a small gap where the dog thinks we're surrounded, "WERE GONNA DIE!!!!"  yells Nikki as I frantically search for a book in the bookshelf-- or what I think is a book.  "Where..is...that...freaking..BOOK?!?!" I yell as I pull the books out off the shelf, exposing a secret lever hiding behind the books.  "AHA!"  I scream as I rapidly flick the lever, causing a glass panel to fall in front of the inserted area in the wall.  "AHHH!!!!"  We both scream as the bottom of the floor breaks, causing us to fall through.
