You know that sometimes
If I just close my eyes
I can see you dancing around the kitchen
Cooking up another weird meal you'll force me to eat
I can hear you singing in the shower
Or humming a tune oh so sweet
I can picture your cute button nose
Your chocolate skin
Your long curly locks
Mixed with light brown and almost a gold color
Your bright green eyes
Your tiny little freckles making constellations like the stars
What shocked me the most was that they made up my zodiac
The Capricorn constellation.
Your giggle and your little snort
That made my heart melt
And your sweet kisses
That sent shivers down my throat
The way you told me stories
A fun fact you had learned that day
Some guy who cut you off while driving
A girl who flirted with you at Starbucks
An old lady who had a little bit too much to drink and passed out on the street
The way you'd look at me
The way you spoke
The way you danced
The way you told me you loved me.
But then
I open my eyes
To find nothing of you
Around me.
