The surprise

*Joel's POV*
Today marks 3 months since I became friends with (y/n) and I can't wait to get home so that I can spend some quality time with her. I know that it's only been a while but I think (y/n) is the perfect match for me. No, im not rushing into things, I just wanna make sure that she's mine. I have a great idea in my head rn
How about I take her out on a date/meal and then I can tell her how I really feel about her..
And I don't have to worry too much cuz her parents are back from their business trip so she's not lonely anymore. Also, I've met her parents and they're such wonderful people.

*(y/n)'s POV*
To be honest, I miss Joel. I really wanna spend time with him. I don't know why but I'm always denying the fact that I have feelings for him. Deep inside my heart, there's no one else that I'd rather spend time with. He makes me feel loved, cared about, and he also taught me to be myself because everyone is unique in their own way.

While looking out my window, I noticed my phone's ringtone going off. Joel's calling and I didn't hesitate to answer it.

J: Hey, chica
You: Hola, Joel. 'Sup?
J: Nothing much, I miss you. And I won't be coming back from tour in about 4 days.
You: aw
J: Yea, I know. It sucks. But I promise to spend time with you when I get home Okay?
You: Okay..
J: Okay, go get some rest, (y/n). You sound tired. Good night.

And with that, we hung up and I eventually went to sleep.

*Joel's POV*
Damn, I feel bad about lying to her but the things that I have in store for us is waaay better. Lol actually I'm coming home tomorrow and I asked for help from her parents about the surprise.
Oh well, I better get some sleep cuz I don't wanna miss my flight.

*(y/n)'s POV*
It hurts me. The feeling being left by Joel. I understand that it's a part of his job but I want him to be by my side so badly. At least he's right about the part that I'm sleepy.

Last night, I had a crazy dream.
*dreaming*
I was happy cuddled up to the person I love, Joel. We were watching a movie on the couch. Joel soon noticed me getting sleepy so he sang primera cita to me while softly stroking my hair. As I woke up from my sleep, Joel was nowhere to be found, which resulted in me screaming his name multiple times.

*and let's get back to reality*
"Joel! Joel!", I screamed out. "(Y/n), it's me, your mom", my mom said as she hugs me. "Mom, I need him",I said while hugging her back. "He'll be back soon, baby", she got up and left my room. She also told me to get up early cuz we're going out for today. As I laid back down, I kept wondering how can a guy affect me in so many ways.
I gotta tell him the truth.

*Joel's POV*
I seriously can't get my mind off her. I don't know how but she managed to wrap me around her little finger. I miss her so much.

I need to tell her how I feel about her, I don't care if she doesn't feel the same way or not. I just want her to know that I need her in my life. It would be a huge bonus if she has the same feeling.

Im flying back home tomorrow and then I'll have the whole day to spend with (y/n).

*skips the long flight lulz*

Well, I'm finally back. I'm super excited to see her. But for today, I'll just rest first. Y'all be lying if you said you didn't have a jet lag after a long flight..

*in the morning*

I got up early this morning cuz I wanna to to (y/n)'s house to pick her up. She has no idea that I'm coming back today and I think the surprise is gonna work.

*(y/n)'s POV*
I was told by my parents to get ready to go out. And to be honest, that's the only reason I woke up early this morning. I dressed myself up in a pair of black leggings and a comfy sweater. I don't wanna be 'too extra' and I wanna feel comfy as well.

As soon as I got downstairs, I found my parents eating breakfast like nothing is going on. "Mama, I thought you said that we're gonna go out today", I said, getting myself a serving. "Actually, you're the one who's going out today", she said back with a grin on her face. "Alone? W-what do y-you mea-", before I could finish my sentence, I heard a very familiar voice saying "nah, you're coming with me", I turned around saw Joel standing behind me. Joel came and hugged me tight. "I missed you so much, curly fries". "I missed you, too. And actually, I have the whole day planned out for us today. Which means it's gonna be just you and me".
