We got into his car and I asked "so, where are headed to?", he instantly replied "okay, so first we're gonna get ice cream, and then we can drive around to the middle of nowhere .. after that, I'll take you to lunch and then it's up to you to choose where you wanna go"
He drove us to an ice cream shop, not so far from my home. When we got in, we were like little kids in a toy store. We're so excited to see all the ice cream. I guess you guys could call us the "ice cream freaks" or whatever. After we got our ice cream, we found a table and sat there. The first few minutes were quiet until Joel decided to start the conversation. "So, how does it feel to finally see me again?", he asked while smirking. "You sir, have no idea how much I missed you", I said as I rolled my eyes playfully. He laughed when I told him that and then he said that he missed me as well.
We didn't spend time too much at the ice cream shop. We got back into his car and he drove to wherever he wants. He did this because he just wants to have a chat that's "private". I mean like if it's at the ice cream shop just now, many people can hear us talking. So he talked about what happened on tour, during the meet and greet, and how fans swarmed their hotels. It was quite interesting to know about the perks of being a celebrity. After more than an hour of driving, he finally picked out a place to have lunch. We went to Olive Garden and gladly, there weren't many people around.
He called the waiter over to take our orders and patiently waited for our food to arrive. We were also talking about our relation, families and all that stuff over lunch. It was going normal until he spoke "(Y/n), I have to tell you something" "What is it Joel?" "The truth is... the past few months have been the best.. all because of you. You're like my other half. It hurts me so bad when I have to leave you while I'm on tour. I want you to know that you complete me. And to make sure that you're gonna be mine, I want you to have this bracelet",

I was speechless.. he really did feel the same way about me. Oh god I must be dreaming. "A-actually I-i feel the same way about you as well", I managed to say. A huge smile formed on his face. "(Y/n), would you like to be my girlfriend?", he asked me as he looked deep into my eyes. "Yes, a million times yes", i said While smiling. "I'm the luckiest person in the world to have you as my girlfriend", he chuckled.
We got done eating and he paid for our meals. I offered to pay half of it but he said "don't spend a single cent when you're with me". Oh well, might as well enjoy it😂. "(Y/n), would you like to meet my parents?", he asked while focusing on the road. "Sure, I'd love to. And I'd also like to thank your mom and abuelita for raising to be such a gentleman", I said while pinching his cheeks.
When we got to his house, his mom greeted us and made me feel welcomed. "Mama, this is mi amor, (y/n)", Joel introduced me to his mom. "Hi, Mrs. Pimentel", I said shyly. "(y/n), Joel, how long have u known each other?", his mom asked. And that's when Joel started his 'story time'. "Joel, take care of her properly okay? She's a very nice girl. I like her. And (y/n), welcome to the family", she told us as she pulls me into a tight hug. Later his grandma, came down and welcomed me as well. I feel like it's such a blessing to have his family to like me. They're the nicest people I've ever met so far. We talked and talked for quite a while about random topics and laughed about it. We said goodbye and before we left, Joel's mom called me over and said "(y/n), if you have any free time, do drop by again. I mean I wanna have a girls' day out too". "Sure, anything that could make you happy", I said and she hugs me.
Joel drove me home and thanked my parents for letting him to "borrow" me for the whole day. My parents were also happy as well when they found out about me and Joel dating. I'm so grateful to have someone like Joel to spend my life with. I couldn't ask for anything better than this.
