I woke up to Cleo crying, she had been really fussy and hated staying her bed. She was 4, she for some reason would start crying when she woke up.
I went to many doctors, they told me maybe she had separation anxiety which made no sense since we were always together.
"I'm coming baby girl." I got up, and walked out of my room into hers.
"Mommy! Mommy!" She screamed, I walked in and she ran toward me wrapping her arms around my leg.
"You okay baby girl?" I asked, she shook her head.
"No, I not okay." She said, her vocabulary has gotten allot bigger lately.
"What's wrong?" I asked, kneeling to her level as she wrapped her arms around me.
"Monsters, I don't like them." She cried, I was confused she never complained about monsters before.
"Why are there monsters sweety?" I asked, she had to have found out from someone.
"Allie told me, she said monsters live under my bed." She cried, I scowled.
Allie was my EX best friend's daughter, she was 6 years old and also my EX husband's hidden daughter.
Mathew and I were together for 6 years, from age 20 to when I started realizing Allie didn't look like her 'father' 2 years ago. Allie was 2 years older than Cleo, and loved to pick on her no matter what I did. Mathew took Cleo to stay with him, and also took Allie because he was a father of 2 and cheating scum since the beginning of our relationship.
"Do you want to go to daddies tonight?" I asked Cleo, as she relaxing in my arms.
"No, I hate Allie." She said, I gasped.
"Sweety we do not say hate, its a very hurtful word." I said, she whimpered.
"Allie hates me." She said, I rubbed her back and tried to control my anger.
"Mommy will fix it baby girl." I said, as I carried her toward the bathroom to get her cleaned up.
"Bath!!" Cleo squealed, I laughed.
"Yes, you stink." I muttered, smiling she looked at me.
"Your mean mommy." She said, trying to pull off her clothes while I chuckled.
"I know baby girl, but it's the truth." I said, she rolled her eyes something she caught from me.
"Can I pick clothes mommy?" She asked, she still had difficulty making full sentences but I think I did good teaching her.
