"Your welcome." Carson spoke, I looked up and she had my phone.

"Sweetheart, what did you do?" Her boyfriend said using tone with her, he was a nice guy.

"Nothing she won't thank me for." Carson replied passing me my phone, I quickly looked through it.

"You sent her a text message!" I exclaimed, my cheeks inflamed by her responses.

"You've been staring at her number for a week, I'm not stupid." Carson replied rolling her eyes, I glared at her.

"Someone like her, doesn't need somebody like me." I told her but my heart skipped a beat.

"I was born poor and my boyfriend could've been a multi-millionaire if he would've married the girl his father wanted for him, you don't know what she needs." Carson replied with a soft smile, I returned it.

I realized that Carson, the girl who showed up at my house with a overly bubbly personality wasn't her. It was a mask she applied for others because she didn't feel comfortable being herself. The moment we were behind closed doors, I knew she would be my best friend.

She was quirky, snarky but gentle. She would kick your ass if you did something stupid, but cry with you if you needed somebody to hurt with. She had been through hell, under her nice clothes there were scars and under her makeup there was a burn mark on her neck.

Yet she was still beautiful, she still wore herself with so much confidence and pride. She still had the energy of a hummingbird, just know I saw her for who she was and honestly I am glad she showed up at my front door.

"Thank you." I said to Carson, she did a good thing.

"If she plays you, I'm gonna hunt her down." Carson says with a sickly sweet smile, I chuckle.

'"Did you have to pick the most expensive restaurant in town." I frown with almost a groan, she laughs.

"Wrong doing on my part." She replied, I give her a look.

"You think, I wouldn't go there even if you paid me." I said with a disgusted look, I genuinely hated the restaurant.

"You can always ask to go somewhere else." She said, I nodded in agreement and looked to my phone.

To: Viva

-If you haven't made reservations yet, do you think we could go somewhere less expensive? My best friend stole my phone and mentioned the place :/ and I'm not a big fan.-
