Missing You

I'm everywhere I don't wanna be,
They're having the time of their lifes.
But for me it's just not enough, I need to see,
Your smile, talk to you and have you here

It's a sunny day,
The worries are at bay,
You'd think this is it, heaven
And it'd be, if our expectations were just as high like back then when we were seven

Noon could come, the afternoon pass,
I wouldn't notice it change,
Nothing would be strange,
If I'd more than only our good memories as flowers in a vase

This isn't supposed to sound like a complaint,
As it is everything but that,
I'm happy, I really am but I can't leave it at that,
Like an artist I have all the tools but I can't paint

After everything, I know I don't have to suffer long,
Because you'll rise,
And every conversation with you is a surprise.
As you're the only one that can hear my song.

You'll be up and with me,
The music will start,
Continue beating will my heart,
Cause when I'm with you, I can finally breathe

Now don't get me wrong,
Without you, I do have my fair share of fun,
But it's like only almost feeling the sun.
Because the power that keeps you away is too strong

As I'm here, writing this thing,
Please know that I miss you.
Not only miss but need too,
I promise I'll survive, so when you're not busy anymore, you can give me a ring

When I look outside,
I see life in it's biggest variety.
It even has it's own society,
They did their best to convince me it is great, they at least tried

In this garden of special flowers,
You must be the scarcest one,
As everybody tries to get you, but is soon done,
Because only you decide who can see you

So I feel honoured for being one of them,
My gratitude goes so far that I do my best to protect you,
So that nobody can ever harm you, especially your stem

What I want to say,
Is that I'm looking forward to be with you,
I honestly get excited every time and day,
Especially if you text me out of the blue
