" Good morning, welcome to the Talon how can I help you?" I kindly said to a customer with a big smile.

"Yes, I need a black coffee," she said looking down at her phone rapidly texting.

"Yes ma'am, can I get a name please?"

"Mazee."

"Are you Mazee James? You know the woman who took over Lincoln industries and is now partnered with Lochner corp and is the head journalist for the London Times Reporter Telegram."

"I am, and you are?" she asked sticking her hand for me to shake.

"I'm Zatanna Queen, nice to meet you." I gladly said shaking her hand firmly.

"That's a very unique name," she told me raising her eyebrow.

"Uh yeah, it's a family thing."

"That's nice," she said grinning.

"Well I'm going to get you you're coffee," I said nervously.

"Don't I need to pay?"

"No Ms. James, it's on the house."

"Oh thank you, and just call me Mazee," she smiled and moved to the straws and napkins station .

I started to poor Mazee's black coffee into a cup with our logo on it and capped it. I paid for her drink out of pocket and called her name.

"Here you go Mazee."

"Thank you," she smiled.

"No problem, have a nice day."

She walked out with her coffee in one hand and her phone in the other. As she walked out the door my boyfriend of three months, Niall, held the door for her and came walking up to me smiling.

"Hey babe," he said hugging me and kissing me in the cheek.

"Hii," I said back then signaling to my co- worker to take my place.

"So, how is owning and living in the local coffee shop going?" Niall asked as we sat down at a table.

"It's great I'm enjoying every moment," I told him smiling and it was true. I loved my life at the moment. I was taking a gap year and not knowing if I wanted to go to uni yet with me owning the Talon but I was indeed happy. Niall and I were doing great after meeting through Liam, my bestfriend.

Liam and I have been good friends since high school when I had a little crush on him but we realized that wasn't going to happen. As the high school years went on supernatural things started to happen to Holmes Chapel. Somehow Liam always was at the seen of tragedy. That's when he finally told Zayn, Louis, Adelaide, who we call Addi, and I his secret.

He wasn't from this planet.

His mum and dad weren't his real parents and he only knows that he isn't fully human. Once he told us we accepted him still and are still best of friends. Now Liam and Addi work at London Times Reporter Telegram which has a branch in Chesire about forty minutes away in a town we call Metro, but it's main office is in London. It's a great cover for Liam.

Liam has great abilities. He has super speed, x-Ray vision, and of course, super strength. I know it sounds a bit cliche but it's all true. There is so much rubbish that goes around here and Liam is the one that can help fix it.

We believe he's not the only one but for now Liam is the only one that is here to save, to redeem.

Only Zayn, Louis, Addi, and I know about his powers and that's how intends to keep it. Not even Niall knows but hopefully he will soon be able to be apart of the secret.

"Babe, I need to go, work needs me," Niall told me breaking my thoughts.

"Oh okay, I actually need to run some errands myself,"i tell him standing up and taking my apron off.

Niall kissed me goodbye and I left to the market down the street which had all my supplies besides the stuff I had to order. I grabbed a basket and looked around for fresh fruits and extracts like vanilla. I was right in front of some strawberries that were a deep red and smelled like summer. I grabbed a few and put them in a bag and then into the basket.

As I turned left to the next tent I bumped into a buff body that smelled like Ralph Lauren cologne.

"Oh I'm so sorry sir, did you drop anything?" I asked the man without looking at his face instead looking for something he dropped.

"I didn't drop anything, it's alright," he said as I looked at his face. He was quite handsome with beautiful green eyes and brown curls seeping through his black beanie. He was wearing a black v-neck with tight black skinny jeans and brown boots. He smiled at me and his teeth looked perfect as well as his lips.

"I'm Zatanna, I work at the Talon," I said sticking my hand out for him to shake.

"I'm Harry, I'm a student," he said shaking my hand still smiling. "May I say you have beautiful blue eyes," he commented and I started to smile.

"Nice to meet you Harry, you should stop by the Talon some ti-,"I was cut off by a loud boom from further down the isle of the market. Tents and what they were selling started to fly and people were falling to the ground being squashed by rubbish.

Harry turned me around and hugged me from behind and kneeling to the ground the protect me from the flying rubbish. I looked as a blur of black sped past us.

"Oh Liam."
