I sat on the cement ground with my back still against the door trying to catch my breath.

I was scared but mostly curious to what that thing was and why it suddenly morphed into a person and then ran off. I finally caught my breathe and lifted myself from the ground. As I started to walk towards the stair case some one started banging on the front door and startled me causing me to jump.

I walked up to the door to see Mazee through the glass looking alarmed. I quickly unlocked the door and letting her in.

"Mazee is everything alright?!" I asked her as she quickly sat on the floor.

"It, it was chasing me so I just, I just ran," she told me holding her chest and trying to calm her breathing.

"Come on, let's get you some tea," I told her, helping her up and walking her over to the back and into the kitchen. She sat on the counter top as I started to prepare her some tea.

"Tell me everything."

"Well I was leaving London Times and walking to my car and as I was putting the key in to unlock it I heard a rumbling and I looked up. I saw a dumpster tipped over and that thing standing next to it. It looked at me with those horrible, horrible red eyes and I took off. I could have sworn it was chasing after me but I wouldn't dare look back. I just kept running and trying to get here a fast as I could," she told me as she was shaking. "I don't know if I can go back out there, what if it comes back?"

"I saw it too, it was in my alley. But you know what the weird thing is?," I said handing her the tea, "It was coming after me but at a certain point he stopped but it was close. I still couldn't see it's face but then it started to like morph and it looked like a human, uh, it was a human and then it sprinted the other way, down the alley," I told her and she instantly looked up at me when I said it morphed.

"Wow," she said then looking down at her watch, "I better go, I have to wake up early."

"Wait, I thought you said you didn't know if you could go back out there," I told her and she stood from the counter grabbing her purse.

"I think I'll be fine," she giggled ,"thanks for the tea," she thanked me and we started walking to the front door.

"Uh, bye?" I said opening the door for her and she walking out.

I shut and locked the door behind her and went off to bed, drifting off to sleep, thinking.

I got into my car and drove off to my flat, completely fearless. Knowing that that horrid thing was another one of Xavier's research topics, which made me realize there's no worry and I don't have to be scared, I have Jeremejevite, but Lincoln Industries decided to call it vertigo for reasons I don't know of.

It's just like kryptonite except it's found on Earth, but it still serves the same purpose.

I got back to my flat and headed off to bed. Then after a few short hours I had to wake up early to get ready and head off to the London Times here. I got up, took a shower, got dressed, did my hair and makeup and left.

My drive there was quick and I went into the building and right to the elevator shortly entering and pressing the button for the top floor. I got to my floor quickly and entered into the office.

"Good morning Ms. James, here's your coffee and you're dry cleaning," my assistant said handing me my coffee and wrapped dry cleaning.

"Uh thanks, umm?," I stuttered trying to figure out their name.

"Andrew."

"Thanks Andrew," I smiled and he smiled back. I took my things into my office and sat at my desk and opened up my computer.

As I was looking through my emails some one knocked on my door.

"Come in," I told the person. Still looking at my computer screen I heard the door open and and close and the person approach my desk.

"Ms. James?" a manly voice said and I looked up.

"Oh, hello Liam, how are you this morning?"

"I'm great thank you. How are you?" he kindly said back.

"I'm good, so what's up?"i asked him getting up to put files away in the filing cabinet.

"I was just going to ask you about an email I got, it was about the article I'm supposed to be writing but I don't write, I edit. Or at least I haven't been promoted to writing."

"Oh well that's no mistake, I'm giving you a chance to make yourself known around here," I told him as I walked back to my desk and sitting down again.

"Oh, thank you Ms. James."

"No problem, just don't mess up," I told him and we smiled. Just as Liam was about to go out the door someone opened it.

"Ms. James, there was another bombing down the street on a bus, if you want a story, there's a good one," one of my employees informed me.

"Alright then," I said grabbing my purse and phone and standing from my desk.

"I better go Ms. James, thanks again," Liam said smiling and leaving my office.

I walked out of my office and into the main room where everybody works on their parts of the newspaper and called on Adelaide. "Adelaide."

"Yes ma'am," she said standing and walking towards me.

"Get your purse and phone, we're going to the scene of the bombing," I told her and she went to her desk and grabbed her things.

We walked down the street and people were walking away from the scene. We got closer and approached a cop.

"Hello sir, we're from the London Times and we need to get in there," I told the man smiling wide.

"Well, alright go ahead," he said smiling at me and I waved for Adelaide to come with me over the yellow tape.

We walked towards the rubbish of the bus and I turned to Adelaide, "Why don't you go to the ambulances and ask the victims questions, make sure you write down you're sources and get everything right, okay?" I told her and she nodded her head.

I turned away from her and walked into the bus, or what was left of it. I walked further in and ended up to the back of it writing a few notes into my phone. I was writing notes and then I heard a beeping. I looked up from my phone and saw in the corner of the bus, another bomb that read '.10'. I started to run out of the bus and as soon as I got out of the bus something or someone swooped me up so fast causing me to pass out just as the bomb blew up.

I shortly woke up to Liam carrying me to an ambulance.

"Liam, what are you doing here?" I asked him then coughing.

"I was getting breakfast and then I saw you and Adelaide and then you went into the bus, I was going to approach you but then you ran out and I caught you," he said sitting me in the ambulance.

"Well uh thanks," I said getting suspicious.

"No problem, I'll see you back at work," he said smiling and walking away.

I sat there as the EMT started to clean up my forehead and I started to think,

" He didn't just catch me, he sped past me and caught me.

That story was a bunch of bullshit.

Maybe he's the one that Xavier told me about.

Maybe he's the traveler. "
