Okay so this was a random story that came to me... how I have no idea... anyway please excuse any speling mistakes and stuff. Some keys on my keyboard dont work properly and I'm from South Africa so some of the spelling is just different. Anyway I hope you enjoy it and let me know. This is more of a information chapter where you meet a few of the characters and get to know the main character. Dont judge her, everyone has their own opionions and stuff so yeah. On with it!
Black Lion Academy
Chapter 1
I stepped out of my beat up VW Beatle and looked up at the place that offered only absolute torture in the form of studying, boring teachers and judgemental idiots that adhered to an hierarchy based on looks, money and how many people you have done "it" with. Those same idiots were ooking at me as if a rat had just crawled out from under their bed and decided to make its home in their favourite shoe, backpack, whatever.
I blocked out the glares and sneers and stuck in my ipod headphones, cycled down to Nirvana and hit play when it landed on 'Smells like teen spirit.' I loved all kinds of music, but rock was my favourite - soft, alternative, hard, whatever - but I honestly did listen to almost everything, including oldies. Don't get me wrong, I was strange. I wore a lot of black and at the same time my favourite colour was blue - hence the black and blue Beetle I drove around. I wasn't an emo, I wasn't a goth, and I wasn't a snob either. I was just me. I wore what I wanted, was happy with who I was, I loved life, I went with the flow, I didn't smoke or take drugs, I did drink occasionally though. Call me a total rebel for being seventeen and drinking, but it was rare and I only did it when my parents were around. Bet you're thinking it's because of them... it is partially, but mostly because I just felt like it.
My name is Ara a.k.a Arabella Negrescu. Which, altogether, means Beautiful Black Lion. Funny that. It was like my parents had predetermined what I would be one day. I had jet black hair that hung down to the bottom of my behind, green eyes and pale skin. On the last night of every month I roar at the moon... - as a joke. I'm here going to thi weird private school because although my parents are dirt poor, I have some extremely rich relative that wants me to get, 'the proper education a lady of my age and status should,' and I was like, 'whatever...'
It wasn't like I wasn't grateful, but I had made friends in my old school. They had loved me for the crazy, weird, intelligent individual I am. The chances of these snobs at this 'special' academy even giving me the time of day... zero to negative infinity. I was, however, regretting not taking up my supposed aunt Nikola's offer to buy me a new car. You see, I was getting even more attention because I hadn't even made it to the parking. My dumb car had broken down in the middle of the road.
I walked to the back of my car and started pushing. I was fit and strong because I'm pretty much fascinated with fighting. I knew Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kenpo, Tai Chi and Aikido. I loved music, writing and dancing. I never mentioned the last one though. I danced in the comfort of my own room while no one was watching. I wasn't half-bad either, but I didn't like dancing in front of anyone.
The car was inching forward slowly. It was old, a piece of junk and very heavy. I pushed as hard as I could and it slowly rolled into a parking space inbetween a Ferrari and a Porsche. Amazing that. I thought those cars looked awesome before, but for some reason they just started looking a whole lot better... I wonder why...
There was a loud whistle and I spun around to come face to face with a bunch of snobby-looking, hot guys. I had to give it to them, they were FINE! I smirked at them and moved to the front door, yanking it open. I got out my studded black leather jacket and pulled it over my shoulders before slinging my royal blue and yellow graffittied black backpack over them as well.
