*alarm alarm alarm*

My eyes slowly opened to the annoying sound of our alarm. My arm stretching out to slam the off button. Lyla groaned as she quickly got up and ran to the bathroom, yelling out "I'm first!" Before slamming the door. Little did she know, I had no power in my body to even get out from under my covers.

Our families wanted to make sure we were used to dorm life from an early stage, so we were shipped off right at the beginning of summer. The campus didn't shut down suring summers or weekends due to some students not having anywhere else to go. It didnt help that there was a huge tragedy a few days before we arrived: a flood had ripped through the metal fences on campus and flooded the entire school building. They weren't expected to be done repairing until December due to the budget. But I wasnt complaining, we weren't allowes to enroll in classes yet, which meant we were not paying anything but dorm fees. However the school was a bit strange, acting like a highschool with small breaks away from school. But, every place has its cons.

Finally after about 5 minutes of laying there I got the willpower to swing my legs over the side of bed. Lyla stepped out of the bathroom and walked back to bed. "We should go to the library! There's this really cool section where you can sit in these things hanging from the ceiling!" The excitement in her voice was only one if heard from her.

"Sure, I'll go take a shower and get dressed." I stood and walked into the bathroom. My face looked tired, and I felt as if a thousand eyes were staring back at me from all around. Shaking my head I hopped into the shower and washed the SIN off my body. Not long after I found myself walking to the library with Lyla.

The library was a seperate building on campus, hence why there was no flooding. From what I heard, its not very crowded most of the time.

We arrived and I opened the door for Lyla. "Why thank you m'lady." She joked as I giggled softly. The place was huge, books stacked on books, stacked on more books. I could hear myself breathe, but the sound of the silence was louder than that. The librarian seemed to be sleeping, a younger looking man who most likely was only working here because it was close to his dorm. Lyla naturally went to the section about science, while I just told her that I would meet her in the room where everybody sits and pretended to read.

The people looked even more dead than the library itself. My eyes fell on someone, this certain someome was familiar. She looked up and her eyes widened at me. "(Y/N)?!" She yelled, making an old librarian look at her with a glare and a "shhh" following it. Her voice struck both nostalgia and hatred in me. Standing up she ran amd hugged me. "Oh my god, its been so long since we last spoke! Are you ok? How are you? You don't still hate me do you? I would hate me, seriously, I was such a bitch, I am so sorry. Please forgive me." I had forgotten how much she ran her mouth when excited. I sighed and tried to forget the past, she really did act like a bitch... But I was on the path forgiveness this time.

"I forgive you, Talia. I missed you." A small smile fell under my tired eyes, somehow tricking her into thinking I was fully recovered from her damage. Lyla was most likely going to be pissed when she sees the mess I had made.

"Oh thank you, (Y/n)! I love you, I really do!" She gave me another hug and we sat down, beginning to chat about our lives while she closed her book. "You have no idea how hard it was for me after we statted talking. My life went completely downhill, it's like you're a good luck charm that left me. My grades went down even worse then they already were! My father was so mad haha. I barely stayed in cheer, it was a bad year..." she looked down for a second, her eyes displaying sadness. "But! I got into college thank god. Did you hear what happened to the twins?" My eyes perked at the mention, even more bad memeories that I would of enjoyed leaving in the past.

"No?"

"Well... They had to move to England. Their father was so disappointed in their grades, and the relationships that they weren't even allowed to spend the summer here. Its really sad, and Adriana was like my only friend when you left me."

"What... What about Roxanne?" I asked, trying to hold back a snarky comment.

"Oh she left me too, said she needed to be alone for a while, and hasnt talked since." The atmosphere in the library was rapidly dropping. I finally saw Lyla walking over to us with a confused look. "Oh my god! Lyla!!" Talia stood quick and ran to her as I stayed seated. "God I missed you too, its been so long!" The discomfort on Lylas face was almost too obvious.

"W-what are you doing here? Don't tell me you're also attending this college."

"I am! I was just talking..."

Everything around me started to fade. I began to freak out when all I could hear was the sound of a television playing the news. Out of curiosity, and lack of options thanks to the darkness that surrounded me.

"Tonight we have breaking news, a boy that has been for about two years now has suddenly begun to show traces of where we could find him. Police say that the whole investigation seemed to have no evidence when it first appeared, and have now begun a very deep search for the boy."

I felt as if I knew him. I couldn't remember much but a voice was making its way to my head. "(Y/n)!" The voice yelled, jolting me awake and everything fading back to books and wood.

"You fell asleep on us there!" Talias smile greeted me as I blinked for a good minute. "Me and Lyla were catching up," I peered over her shoulder to see a tried looking Lyla. "and we were gonna go get some coffee. Come join us!" I couldn't refuse, I'd never hear the end of it from Lyla if I ditched her.

"S-sure..." I stood up and felt weak in my legs. Talia laughed while she cleaned up the area she was sitting, while Lyla stared me down as if it was my fault for running into her.

"Lets go ladies!" Talia marched forward, with Lyla following. I walked behind them and looked back once to make sure I still wasn't dreaming.
