First off, he was amazing. How could I not have seen this coming? Crazy-toned body and a gymnast's body on a guy. Anyone could see he'd be good. Even in his t-shirt and shorts, he looked pro. Why did I make such a stupid offer?
"Now, you're gonna catch flies!" he shut my jaw for me.
"I- uh- I..." I trailed off, not knowing what to say.
"No worries honey, it just took you more than 2 glances to start drooling like other girls. Nothing wrong with being slow."
What a cocky guy! "I'm sorry I wasn't drooling over your body like you're used to. To some people," emphasis on the 'some,' "looks aren't everything." I finished.
He gave me a look I couldn't quite decipher. "You know, I like you, girl. You got some fire, some spirit to be reckoned with."
Not sure if it was a compliment, I looked away. He turned my face back around, and my eyes widened when I saw how close he'd come to me. "Now, don't turn away. Those eyes shine, but they're prettier when I can see them!"
Ash sure knew how to make me blush. I swear my cheeks turned the same color as my cami, that is, blood red. "Uhm, I need to go now..." I made my (not so graceful) escape from the gym, changing as fast as possible and hauling' out of there.
Why couldn't I keep my mind off of Ash?
