Hey guys! welcome to part 1 of I'm in love with a killer! these chapters are going to be pretty short as far as I can tell and I'm going to be publishing them as I write them so I don't go publishing them all at once. He's here again. The man I fell for. The man who just so happens to be a regular at the café I work at. He comes here every day and orders the same thing like a routine. "Hey Sho! The usual?" I asked with the brightest smile I could manage despite the non-stop butterflies in my belly. He looks up from the book he was reading and his eyes lock with mine and I can feel a knot form in my stomach. The same knot I feel every time this happens and to my luck it happens at least three a day.
"Hello Izuku and yes the usual sounds great." He says giving me a slight smile. He is charming enough without his smile, but when he does smile, I can feel fireworks shoot throughout my body.
"Okay! Great! Your order will be with you shortly!" I turn to walk away, but then turn back around to say one more thing. "Oh yeah! One more thing before I go. You should smile more often. A smile looks good on you!" He looks shocked for a little tiny micro second then he smiles bigger than before.
"I'll keep that in mind." He says with a slight nod of the head. We would usually have a short conversation, but today was abnormally packed, so I had to get back to work. I quickly returned with his black coffee and apple pie.
"Here's your order Sho!" I said setting his plate and cup perfectly in front of him.
"Thank you Izuku."
"No problem Sho!"
"Um Izuku. . . I was thinking, since we are pretty close, and I would even like to say are friends" That word 'friends' was like a knife to the gut and left a bitter taste in my mouth. "I would like to hang out some time. I mean outside of the café." Hold on. Let me process what he just said. He wants to hang out with me outside of the café because he sees me as a friend. Well all the best relationships stars out with a friendship.
"Yeah Sho! That sounds awesome! When and where" ?
"When does your shift end?"
"In about an hour."
"Then when is in about an hour and where is maybe some coffee if you don't mind? I know you're leaving a café to go to a café so if you don't like that idea then I will think of something else."
"No! no. no, um coffee sounds good."
"Great, I'll see you later then."
"See ya Sho!" I walked off with a wave.
"Oi! Deku!" Kacchan yelled, FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FLIPPING CAFÉ MIGHT I ADD! But it happens often, so all the employees are used to it. He used to hate my guts, but we made up during the last year of high school and applied for a job at the café together and were even roommates in an apartment not far from here, as you can tell we both made it in and I'm pretty sure the manager regrets it, but he'll live.
"Hey Kacchan! What's up!?" I asked as he approached.
"Did half n half ask you out or something?"
"W-What!? What makes you say that!?"
"He did, didn't he?"
"W-Well n-not on a date or anything, he just wants to hang out after Im done work."
"Tch. I will never understand why you like that dude. He looks like a freakin peppermint."
"Kacchan! That's not very nice!"
"What can I say? The truth hurts."
"Anyway! Why'd you ask?"
"I don't know, you just walked away looking all giddy. It was a little concerning." Of course, I had to make it obvious. I cant do anything right!
"Thanks for the concern Kacchan!"
"I never said I was concerned Deku! Im just saying one of these extras might have gotten a little concerned seeing you walk around here like you're on fucking cloud nine. THAT'S ALL!"
"Whatever you say Kacchan, but we should get back to work."
"Yeah whatever nerd. . .have fun on your date."
"Its not a date!" He just smirked and gave me a small wave. The rest of the hour went by painfully slow, but it was worth it, I get to spend the rest of the day with Shoto!
