The young boy studied the adorably smaller girl who stood in front of him. She rocked back and forth on her heels, puffing her cheeks out every-so-slightly, and gazing at who-knows-what. He didn't understand.

"I just don't get it, pancake" he began, crossing his arms across his chest. His eyes remained locked on her as she returned her focus to him, clearly puzzled by his sudden outburst. "I don't understand why you think nobody likes you. Everyone adores you." "Well, I'm sorry that I just feel that way."

"Why would you?"

"Because I'm not wanted Nate. I never was, and I never will be."
