Injured Detective

"KUDOU!!!" Heiji shouted as he saw his bestfriend buckled his knees before then fell to the ground. All the while Hakuba just widened his eyes before then followed the tanned teen to sprint over their fallen comrade.

The two was looking over him after realizing that he's not among the evacuators. Great thing that Hakuba caught that small detail which Conan hinted about where KID might gone.

"Oh shit! kudou! talked to me, damnit!!" Heiji shouted as he shooked the boy slightly. But there's no response since the said detective was uncouncious with many blood coming out from his left shoulder.

"Tch, who did 'his? was it KID?" asked Heiji in rage.

"I don't know. But we can't fret over it. Right now, we need to get out of this building just in case, and Edogawa-kun need to be treated immedietely..." Hakuba said, ignoring his growing question on why did Heiji called Edogawa Conan as 'Kudou'.

the said Osakan, on the other hand agreed for the British teen and hurriedly yet gently scooped his injured friends to his embrace, all in silence.

"Let's go..." He nodded and they finally left.

All the way, Heiji couldn't help but have grim thoughts seeing just how pale the kid in his arm as blood keeps on seeping out tainting his once white shirt.

But overall he was glad that he actually came back than evacuated like he was told. He noted to himself that need to thanked for Hakuba after this.

Two days later, Conan find himself awaken in the middle of the night.

He was expecting Ran to sleep with head rested on his bed like before. But instead, next to him there stood KID who looked just as surprised as himself.

"Ah, finally awaken are you, Meitantei-kun?" the phantom thief said.

"No wonder, I got chills. a phantom is stalking me." Conan replied sarcastically as he winched a little when he seated.

"Heh, I told you I'm going to check on you..." said KID, smirking.

"And I told you that I'm going to survive. you don't need to worry" Conan rolled his eyes.

But instead of giving any expected replies, KID said, "Stay out of it..."

It wasn't a warning. It's a threat.

"Or what?" Conan challenged as he raised a brow, but overall his face was as serious as the teen in front of him.

"This is something bigger than your little hands, Meitantei-kun..." KID said.

"Look here. I've been dealing with these kind of things for ages. Plus, you know who I am..."

"-still you can't..." KID cut Conan's words with a stern look.

"Listen, Meitantei. I do know what you're capable of... but I also know that you already have your own problem to deal with. These people, They're as dangerous as the ones that after you. And I know that you can't handle two at the same time. Can't you see what they've done to you?"

"-I was careless..." Conan admitted.

"No... you were sefless...that is why, you'll die if I let you in..." KID said.
