Chapter 28

They all sat in the waiting room of the hospital. No one had any information on Tahja. Isis couldn't  shake the overwhelming guilt that she had.

  "I'm the reason she's here. If I could take back everything I would. I love Maya,but she came at a very awful time" Isis thought

A doctor walked out.

"Family of Tahja Domingo?", he said.

Tahja's mother ,Fay, stood up and walked over to him.

"I'm her mother, Fay. How is she?", she asked anxiously.

"Well, it seems she suffered from an anxiety attack and hit her head on a hard surface. I'm guessing the side of the tub or the toilet since she was in the bathtub. She's OK right now, but she may experience minor memory loss. It should only be temporary, but you never know.", he said.

Fay nodded her head.

"Can we see her?", she asked.

He nodded.

"Only 2 at a time though", he said.

"Thank you doctor", said Fay.

He nodded and walked away.

Fay and Terrell went in first. The rest of the family  went after. Isis wanted to be last. They all came out, releived that she remembered them.

Isis went in last by herself. She slowly walked in to see a smiling Tahja.

"Icey!", Tahja said with joy. She threw her arms out indicating a hug.

"I didn't know you were coming down here for the summer. I can't wait for you to meet my boyfriend.", Tahja gushed.

Then it clicked for Isis. Tahja remembered her,but she didn't remember everything that went down recently.

Isis didn't know if she should fill Tahja in. She decided it would be too overwhelming and waiting wouldn't hurt.

Isis smiled and hugged Tahja.

"Yeah I wanted it to be a surprise. But I have a daughter", Isis said.

She knew Maya would be there soon and Tahja would ask questions. She would just lie about who the father is and make sure Messiah stayed away from all of them.

Tahja raised her eyebrows in shock.

"Really? Wow boy or girl?", she asked.

"Girl. Her name is Maya and she's one going on two. She's coming here tomorrow morning.", Isis stated proudly.

Tahja smiled.

"I can't wait to meet her. Hopefully she's just like her mama", Tahja replied sweetly.

Isis smiled, but in reality, she didn't want Maya to be anything like her.

Fay was worried about her children. She felt like she failed both of them. Tahiry is still missing and she's not even sure what goes on with Tahja anymore.

She barely talks to DJ. As she thought of him, she slid out her phone and called him. He didn't answer so she sent him a text.

Tahja had an accident and is in the hospital. She's OK now  but she wants to see you

Fay sat back down in one of the chairs as her ex husband Terrell walked up to her.

"She can leave tomorrow. They wanna run more tests and make sure she's stable enough ", he said.

Fay nodded her head and sighed. Terrell looked at her with apologetic eyes knowing all of this was a lot to take in.

"I know you're worried about our children. Especially Tahiry and Tahja. Just remember they are both tough girls. They get it from their mother", he said truthfully.

He still loved Fay and knew that he messed up 16 years ago. After their divorce he was heart broken and felt stupid for cheating.

He continued to stare at Fay, admiring her natural beauty. Fay looked young for her age. She had a coke bottle shape and big curly hair and light brown eyes. She had radiant brown skin that always had a glow to it . She only had about 3 wrinkles and that was when she furrowed her eyebrows.

It seemed as if she hadn't aged a bit,which was impressive with all the stress she dealt with. Terrell wished he had never met Stacey, the woman that caused the divorce. He doesn't even know where she's at now, but he hoped he would never see her either.

I pulled up to fuck nigga apartment and dashed up the steps. I banged on his  door like the 5-0. The door swung open to reveal Bianca.

Her eyes got wide as anger filled me. My sister in the hospital and this nigga with this hoe. The same hoe who thought I forget about her shooting my ass.

Hell nah I ain't forget that shit. I been plotting to get her ass.

Bianca's eyes got wide as she looked at the man she thought she killed. No one informed Bianca that DJ was very alive. By the look on his eyes she could see that he was out for blood.

But how did he know where she was? She was trying to seduce Darold, but it was unsuccessful so she just drugged him. She took off his clothes and put him in the bed.

She took some pictures that suggested that they'd slept together and sent them to Tahja, now knowing everything that is going on.

DJ pushed Bianca to the floor and went looking for Darold. He went into the bedroom to see Darold's hands tied up while he was naked.

Before DJ could assess the situation, he felt something hard hit him in the head. He fell to the ground and rolled over. His eyes closed, but not before he caught a glimpse of Bianca and a dude standing over him. 

It was Messiah.
