The Next Morning
Isis was nervous this morning. Her godmother Stacey would be bringing her daughter to her. She was afraid of how the family would react to her.
She was hoping the new edition (new to them) would be a little happiness during this tough time. Many of their relatives stayed in the surrounding area.
They never stopped looking for Tahiry and they were out searching right now. The only people at the house were Fay, Isis, Ceasar, Aj, Cairo, Bria, and Fay's sister Iman.
They were all just sitting in the living room, trying to make each other feel better about the situation.
Isis received a text from Stacey saying she's pulling up.
Stacey was unaware that the house she was about to enter belonged to Fay. Stacey was Isis' godmother because she was friends with Isis' father, who passed away shortly after Isis' 6th birthday.
Isis' mother, Iman, had no knowledge of Stacey's dirt. She knew her sister, Fay was cheated on, but she never cared to know the woman's name.
Isis was also oblivious to the past relationship of Fay and Stacey. She got up and went to Stacey's car grabbing her daughter.
"Can you please bring her stuff inside?", Isis asked Stacey politely.
"Yeah", Stacey grumbled, not really wanting to get out of her car.
Isis walked into the house with a bubbly Maya.
"Who baby dat beez? ", Cairo asked.
Isis sighed as Iman shifted in her seat.
"Mine, her name is Maya", Isis said.
Everyone looked at her in shock as Ceasar gasped dramatically.
"Oh my, Isis why didn't you tell us?", Fay asked standing up.
She went over to Isis and grabbed the beautiful baby. Fay thought that she looked like someone else she knew, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
"I was ashamed and I couldn't face you guys. Mama and my God mom are the only ones that know of her", Isis said.
Everyone admired the baby as Isis watched, grateful for her understanding family.
"Girl you know this child has too many things. I almost didn't make-", Stacey stopped her sentence when she saw Fay.
Fay looked up and saw Stacey. She instantly became heated. She never got to fight the woman. She knew she was too old to be fighting be she didn't care right now.
"Fay I didn't know you knew Isis", Stacey said unafraid.
"Well she's my niece. Iman is my sister ", Fay said tight lipped.
The color drained from Stacey's face. Iman and everyone else looked around confusedly.
"How do you know each other? ", Iman asked.
"This is the home-wrecker that was screwing Terrell", Fay said with a venom filled voice.
Iman's mouth dropped as Fay stepped up to Stacey, getting in her face. Fay has a temper, but she was good at controlling it- most of the time.
"If you were a better wife it wouldn't have been so easy", Stacey said.
Fay chuckled and turned around for a second before she turned back around, sending a blow to Stacey's face.
"WorldStar!!!!", yelled Ceasar.
Bria and Aj pulled out their phones as Isis watched in horror.
"Get em!", encouraged Cairo
Stacey tried to defend herself from Fay's quick and painful blows but she was a terrible fighter. Fay was winning by a long shot.
"Aunty got them hands booaa! ", Ceasar yelled.
Fay gave Stacey two right jabs before giving her a left uppercut that sent her flying back.
"DDDDDAAAAAMMMNNN! She gave her that three piece combo", yelled Aj.
"With a shake!", yelled Bria.
Stacey scrambled up and ran to her car and quickly drove away.
Fay breathed heavily, satisfied that she finally got to beat Stacey's ass. Iman looked at her sister in shock. She knew her sister had a temper and that she could fight.
She just didn't think she would blow a fuse that quickly. Isis sat down, knowing who was in the wrong. Stacey.
She heard the story of how "Tay" (Terrell and Fay) ended. She never knew the other woman was her godmother. She looked at Stacey differently now.
She noticed her godmother's love for men, especially those with money. Even though it didn't seem like it, she didn't like Maya to be around Stacey when she had a man.
She turned into a whole nother person that Isis didn't want her daughter to be. She'd been thinking about moving back here since she knew for a fact she would have plenty of support.
Terrell walked into the house to see Iman talking to an angry looking Fay.
"Yoooo Unc you just missed it. Auntie Fay just beat this girl ass", Ceasar said.
Terrell gave a confused look.
"I fought that hoe Stacey a few minutes ago", Fay said in a nonchalant tone.
Terrell's eyes got wide.
"Stacey? What was she doing here?", he asked.
Isis spoke up.
"She's my God mom. She was dropping off my daughter Maya. I didn't know they knew each other", she said.
"Yeah and I didn't know she was Isis godmother. If I did I would have whooped her ass a long time ago", Fay said honestly.
Terrell shook his head in disbelief.
"Wait.....your daughter?", he asked Isis.
It was then he noticed the baby she was holding.
"Yes, Uncle Terrell this is my one year old daughter Maya", Isis said.
He smiled at her and went to pick her up. Once he picked her up, he admired the baby before frowning.
"Who's her father?", he asked.
Isis had been dreading the question, but she knew it would come up.
"A boy I met at a party. I wasn't in my right mind that night", she half lied. She wasn't in her right mind that night.
Terrell looked at the baby again.
"She looks like Tahja ex boyfriend Messiah", he said truthfully. Maya looked lime Messiah more than anyone else. Terrell was just speaking his mind, he didn't think his statement had any significance to it.
Isis got nervous.
"Yeah she does doesn't she", Fay said, realizing that's who she thought Maya looked like.
She saw the nervous look Isis had on her face.
"Oh my God Isis you didn't.", Fay said in disbelief.
"Wh-what?", Isis asked nervously.
Out of nowhere, Messiah walked into the house with some of the search party. He smiled once he saw his baby. He had a private investigator follow Isis ever since she left. Her sudden relocation never sat well with him.
He had lots of pictures of Maya and knew exactly what she looked like.
"There's my baby!", he exclaimed while reaching towards Maya.
Everyone's jaws dropped to the floor.
