:://Violets POV\\::
Letting out a heavy sigh, we get out of the vehicle. Roger and Ash both carrying duffels, and I'm carrying another smaller bag with a spare battery, jump cables and some other tools in. I'd made Roger carry a tank for any gas we can siphon from burnt out and busted cars on our way.

I look up after being caught in thought for a few minutes and the sight I saw was the most uplifting thing I've seen in this apocalypse yet. Ash and Roger both smiling and laughing. Ash was quite a closed up kid, not really one to talk much, and Roger was always grumpy and constantly on high alert. So it was a nice sight, seeing the two of them chatting and bonding. It's not like I've never seen a grown man and a teenager getting along before, but it's been a long time since it's happened. Especially now. People are being eaten by the living dead, so it really would be hard to find a miracle such as this. It's nice, a good change considering the circumstances.

:://Rogers POV\\::
Ash is one extraordinary kid. He's managed to keep himself alive all this time, surviving on the bare minimum of food, water, and sleep. He's the kinda person you'd need in a community. Great with rations, strong, doesn't sleep as much as most people. He'd have been a perfect candidate for someone that goes out on runs for the community. I like him, he's a good kid. Reminds me of me when I was a kid his age, maybe he could be like a son to me one day. That day may not be today, I barely know him, but maybe one day.

A-N: Short chapter, I apologise, but I must say, this is the longest running book I've had so far, which is really bad on my part. It will probably be the only book I continue to publish from start to finish. Thank you for reading so far, much appreciated. Peace out my dudes ✌🏻✌🏻
