My alarm clock went off awaking me from my deep slumber. I rolled over groaning and hit the snooze button at the top. The beeping stopped and I lazily got up out of bed. I walked over to my bathroom and started my morning rituals, which was to brush my teeth, shower, and comb my hair.

After doing my rituals I examined myself in the mirror. I had long brown hair, dark brown eyes, and a dimple in my left cheek. I could be beautiful if I tried, but I don't have the time to be pretty. I have school to think about.

I was dressed in a pair of dark skinny jeans, a black t-shirt and black converse. I walked out of my bedroom, and headed to the kitchen. My grandmother was sitting around the table drinking some tea.

"Good morning grandma." I chirped grabbing an apple from the table.

"Good morning sweety." She greeted me smiling.

"I'm heading out for school," I said walking towards her and kissed her on right cheek. "Enjoy your day, I love you"

"Be careful, I love you too." She replied softly.

My grandma was the owner of Reading Rainbow's Preschool & Daycare. She loved working with children, so she decided to a teacher. My mom was the original owner of the pre-school, but my grandma took over when she died. It is quite successful and she makes around 15,000 a month.

"I will." I said heading out the door.

I walked to the bus stop and waited on the bus. After waiting for five minutes the bus arrived, and I sat in a empty seat, and rode to school listening to everyone talk about the latest gossip, or a joke that they heard.

I had no friends at school. Sad, I know. It's not my fault nobody would give me a chance. I was always an outcast, and labelled as a nerd which meant I was made fun of. Especially by the school's slut, Emily. It hurt knowing people judged you so fast, without getting to know you, but that's life for you.

The bus made a stop in front of the school building, everyone got off. I headed towards the school building, and walked through the door. I immediately headed to my locker to get the books I needed for my first class, which was English. Since I didn't have any friends, I was always extra early for class. How fun. Sarcasm intended.

I slammed my locker shut, and started walking to my class. I saw Emily, and I started to panic inside. I pretended to not notice her and walked looking straight ahead. See her, and still don't see her. I thought to myself.

"Hey Arii," Emily greeted me smiling. I gulped.

"Hey," I said softly. "I have class to get to, can't talk now, bye."

"Are you avoiding me?" She asked incredulously.

"What a-avoiding you, why would I-I do that." I replied.

"The nerd's afraid of me," She said laughing. "You better be." Then she knocked my books out of my hand, and my papers went flying before walked away laughing. The warning bell rang and I groaned.

I began picking up the papers as fast as I could. Everyone walked passed me without a sound, or sympathy. I expected that anyways. When I was finished, ten minutes had passed already. I'm going to be ten minutes late to class because of that stupid slut!

I got up and hurried to class, only to be knocked over by the player of the school Harry Styles.

"Watch where you're going?" He growled angrily.

"If you had been watching where YOU were going, we wouldn't be having this conversation." I shot back. My anger began to boil, and this is something that never happens. Then realization hit me. I just spoke back to Harry Styles. The Harry Styles. The player and bad boy of the school. I am dead meat.

"Woah," He said surprised. "Never thought a nerd could get mad"

"Nerds get mad too." I mumbled to myself not intending for him to hear what I said.

"I didn't know that, I really am shocked." He replied.

"Yeah, highlight of the century," I answered sarcastically, picking up my papers from the floor.

Why are nerds always picking up papers from the floor. Come to think of it, that's what they're always doing. Can't people be more original. Wait, why am I calling myself a nerd? I am just a human being who actually wants to learn.

I got up thinking that the asshole was gone, but unfortunately he was still there staring at me.

"Don't you have somewhere to be, or some girl to attend to?" I asked quite annoyed.

"See you around nerdy." He said with a smirk completely ignoring my question. His answer was kind of weird though. It was almost like he meant it.

Oh shit I am so late for class.
