Meg ran for her life. All that mattered in that very moment was to get away from him. From that monster. He started chasing her a while ago and even if she couldn't see him, hear any footsteps besides her own nor was she sure he was still chasing her - she kept on running.

After what felt like an eternity for the girl, she felt tired and slowed down from her sprinting, but didn't stop. The crows above her caught her attention and she nearly stepped on a bear trap, only to avoid it, by inches. She sighed in relief, sweat on her forehead dripping with no mercy. She looked behind her every now and then, just to be sure she was alone. It didn't exactly matter that she was already alone in the area she was in. Nor did the fact that she was the last one alive. No, that didn't help her with the thought of being one on one with the killer one bit. She still had three generators to do and she couldn't find the hatch anywhere. Not that it was easy to find it in the darkness of Macmillan's Estate, no. It was always hard. Now Meg remembered why she always hated this forsaken place.

However, in this hell, under Entity's will, she still could find little things that put a smile on her face. Her friends, the games, stories... Memories? Yes, maybe they couldn't remember much from their life after being brought here by Entity, but their memories that were there and haven't disappeared are ones of the most important things in their now miserable lifes.

Memories, sweet memories. Meg still remembered one of many important things that happened to her years ago. The person she loved with her whole heart, that man, who maybe wasn't displaying emotions for the most part, but smiled softly at her every time she was near. And she still remembered that one day in a park.

(A face for you, my friend XD)

"But Evan!"

"I said no, Meg"

"Pleeeaaase? Pretty please?!"

The man rolled his eyes and sighed. He furrowed his eyebrows and glanced at the girl with a stern look. She was begging him to buy her some ice cream for twenty minutes now and it was getting rather annoying. First he thought it was amusing, but now he was starting to feel slightly irritated.

"If I buy you some fucking ice cream, will you stop bugging me?" Evan growled and looked at the little ice cream parlor about 14 meters away from them.

"Yeah, yeah, Mr. Grumpy Cat" Meg chuckled and when her friend started walking towards their destination she ran up to him and tried to catch up every time he took a step. He was two times her size, which resulted in her having to nearly run, trying to not be left behind.

After ten minutes Evan bought her the strawberry and vanilla ice cream. Those were her favourite and as soon as she got the waffle in her hands, she started eating them as if she had never had ice cream before, as if she was a child again. And sure, she looked like a kid with that hat of her and ice cream in her hand, with that sweet childish smile on her face.

The two friends walked over to a bench and sat down, enjoying the silence, the nature in the park and sweet 'chirp'ing of the birds above their heads.

"You know, I'm glad that I've met you that one day.
If I remember correctly, was it in May?" Meg started and Evan snorted quietly, knowing what was coming next.
"I remember the bully that hurt me for years.
You came to my rescue, but the rest blurrs.
I want to remember, I really do
So much that... Actually I have no clue.
Why am I saying this? Cuz you are my hero.
I hope you know that, because I do míro.
I see the look in your eyes everyday.
You try to hate me, it doesn't work anyway.
I wanted to say, I really do love you.
Why, I can't say, because I have no clue" Meg sighed nervously and took in a shaky breath.

"I just wanted to say..."

"I love you" Evan ended for her and not even caring about ice cream in his girl's hand, he hugged her tightly to his big chest and buried his face in her neck. "You always had a thing for those stupid rhymes and poems. I just can't understand how or why you do it so quickly" He chuckled and somehow shook his head.

Meg laughed and hugged the giant back with her free hand. "What can I say, big guy? Sometimes I just  like making things out of thin air!"

Evan smiled, knowing that it was one of many things he loved about the small girl pressed to his chest.

Meg closed her eyes with a chuckle, when she remembered what happened years ago and turned her head to the sound of some whistling and shuffling and instantly knew that it was the hatch she was looking for. She jumped quietly through a window and ran up to the now open hatch and with one last glance behind her, she jumped down.

What she hadn't noticed, however, was a sorrowful look in the distance, as the eyes looked in the other direction and the being turned around, walking into the darkness of MacMillan's Estate.

922 words! Woo! XD A bit less than last time, but my phone shut down and I had to start writing all over again ;-;

I hope you enjoyed! ^-^

I'm very sorry for any mistakes in grammar, vocabulary and everything else, mostly because my first language is Polish (and sarcasm) and I'm a bit sick. Sorry once again and bye! ;D
