The Promise Between Us (Aizawa x Mic fanfic BNHA)

The knot that ties us both

A whole year had passed but it had felt so much longer. Like....like a decade. Aizawa had been through so much. With the attack and all, the wedding had to be postponed, but that was Hizashi's idea anyways. During the one year time frame, Izuku Midoriya has somehow gotten stronger which took Shota by surprise, considering the results from the previous school year and entrance exam. However, Shota always put faith and hope into his students, but it was still shocking nonetheless.
The new date for the wedding was only three days away and the both of them were so eager. All of the school was invited along with both of the men's family, so it was going to be a rather large wedding. Nevertheless, they were excited and couldn't wait to spend the rest of their lives with each other. Hizashi was going over his vows, making sure they were perfect. Hizashi had rewrote, recreated and reread his vows over ten times-- he wasnt the best at being romantic, or at writing-- Shota, however, wrote his vows within a day and was perfectly fine with it. It took everyone by surprise when they found out Shota was the more romantic one in their relationship.

Finally, the day they were waiting for, filled with family and friends were finally here. Not a lot of people expected them to last so long, let alone get married.. but those type of opinions never affected them. They just loved each other and were fixated by that itself.  Hearing all their friends and family, the couple started to grow nervous. However, it all became quiet after the music started playing and the male couple walked down the aisle together, holding hands.  Reaching the end where the pastor was, the two men shared a smile, now facing each other. 

After the pastor said his piece, Shota had been granted to say his vows first. Taking a deep breath, the raven-haired male looked at his lover, and then another deep breath. "okay.." another breath. " 'Zashi, when i first met you--- I thought you were freaking annoying and loud as hell-" Everyone in the crowd let out a quiet chuckle, but Shota continued. "But as I got to know you more, I saw how much more there was to you than that. I came to appreciate everything about you. Your loudness and how energetic you are and not think of it as annoying.  Before I met you, I was pretty anti-social and was cruel to everyone I knew-- and even though I'm-- still kind of like that, I can socialize so much better and that's because you taught me how, You've taught me to do many things-- To act before I think, to be fearless-- UA didn't teach me that from when we were students, you did.. and now I'm going to spend the rest of my life with you.. and I just couldn't be any happier." 

  Hizashi smiled, trying his best not to tear up or cry-- This day was already so perfect. After Shota finished speaking, it was Hizashi's turn, who spoke without any hesitation, unlike Shota. "I wasn't popular or looking for anything more than a friendship when I first attended at UA but that changed so quickly. When I met you, Shota, I met the love of my life. I know I can be a bit much.. suffocating, even. But it's cause I'm so in love with you. I'm infatuated with you. I can't wait to start our married life together with you, grow old with you, and maybe even-- adopt a kid with you. I love you, so much, Shota. And  I promise that this time, I'll protect you from anything and everything." Hizashi then smiled weakly at Shota, remembering the last time he had made that promise-- and how Shota ended up being attacked at USJ. After Hizashi spoke, the pastor asked if they wanted to be partners for life-- which, obviously, answered yes; and then were granted permission to kiss.

Everyone began cheering, both of their parents crying. Once the kiss stopped, Shota held his husband's hand as they walked back down the aisle together and Shota chuckled. "You took by surprise back there, I wasn't expecting you to swoon me like that."

Hizashi rolled his eyes, letting out a small laugh. "Well.. I guess now *i'm* the romantic one~" Shota then nudged Hizashi's shoulder, shaking his head. "Yeah, okay."

"Oh," Hizashi began. "And about that promise I made-- I really mean it this time."

" Zashi.."

"i'm serious. I'll risk my own life if I have to!"

" 'Zashi."

"What-"

Shota kissed his husband's cheek, followed by a laugh. "You don't have to do that, you already do so much for me. Plus, you've protected me in your own ways." Hizashi blushed faintly as he smiled, hearing the words from his new husband. "Promise?" Shota returned the smile, looking at the blonde with wide eyes. "Promise."
