Chapter 3
Thor P.O.V
I hurried down the hall with the small child in my arms; she was crying and calling out “Dada” over and over again. Her little fists beating against my armor, I couldn’t bear to look at her tear streaked face in fear that I might do something rash, such as taking her back to Loki and setting him free. But I know I can’t that would be treason against Father and I have already caused enough trouble with Father to last me a lifetime (during the dark elves war I kind of committed treason but I had a good reason).
It hurt to see Loki so broken, I’ve never seen him that frantic, so out of control, Loki never panics and never looks fearful even when he really is. I wish that I didn’t have to do this terrible deed, I hate it that Father made me do this, now that I think about it was probably a test to see if I’m loyal to Asgard…or to Father again. I grind my teeth together in anger; I will have to deal with Father later right now I have to take Hela to Midgard I have decided to take her there to live with the avengers. There’s nowhere else that I could take her that would be safe enough for her to live, Asgard was definitely out of the question she could easily find out who her father is, plus I don’t think Odin would like having her around. Jotunheim, the place where Loki was born, is also out of the question. After all Hela is half frost giant this of course would raise suspicion of whom her parents are. So the one place I know where she would be safe and well cared for is on Midgard with the Avengers, there perhaps maybe one day she would become an Avenger instead of an evil villain like her father.
I look down at the now sleeping child in my arms and sigh, I climb on my snowy white horse carefully so I don’t wake Hela and ride across the Rainbow Bridge to Heimdall’s Observatory.
Heimdall is the guardian of the Rainbow Bridge, he was a warrior at first but Odin appointed him guardian after the Storm Giants tried to raid Asgard. He has the normal Asgardian powers including superhuman reflexes, regenerative healing factor, superhumanly acute senses and avatar projection. Heimdall is also a very good and trustworthy friend of mine.
I reach the Observatory; I slow down my horse and carefully lower myself to the ground. Heimdall was waiting outside of the Observatory, knowing that that I was coming and what had happened with Loki.
“Loki is in deep anguish over his daughter” Heimdall said in usual deep serious voice, he stared straight ahead seeing farther than the normal eye can see. Sometimes I wonder how he can stand seeing and hearing so many people and voices at the same time, it must be quite tiring
“Yes I figured he would be.” I say my voice laced with annoyance, I still feel terrible for what I have done and I don’t want to speak of it. I walk into the Observatory, Heimdall following behind me.
“I assume you’re taking her to Midgard” Heimdall said as he walked up the stairs leading to the podium.
“Yes it’s the most logical place for her to live.” I stand in the middle of the room waiting for Heimdall to send me off to Midgard.
“If you insist” Heimdall places his sword in the dial and the roof of the Observatory starts spinning, a blue portal appears that will take me to Midgard.
“Safe travels my friend” Heimdall says, “I shall be watching.”
“Thank you Heimdall I will see you soon.” I walk in the portal. I speed through space; I love the rush of traveling from realm, it’s almost like going through a sparkling rainbow. It’s quite beautiful to see. In a few seconds it’s all over and I am in front of the Avengers Mansion, I sigh as I see Tony Stark (Iron Man) waiting outside, Tony and I are not really friends but we’re not enemies either more like associates.
