A month passed since our engagement and it couldn't be more hectic. We were leaving for China in the morning. I was doing last minute packing, passport prepping, etc, etc...
"You have everything?" I asked frantically.
"Yes John." he replied.
"You sure?"
"Yes." he said again, this time giving me a kiss to calm me down. "Don't worry. Everything will be fine." And with that, we went to sleep.
Micheal had things to do, so I encouraged him to leave before me, assuring him that I'll be at the airport with him. I actually overslept. I woke up with 10 minutes to be at the airport. I rushed out the door and into my car. Unfortunately, the plane had already left with Micheal on board. SO I headed home.
"This just in," said the radio man, "flight 911911 to Beijing, China has crashed over the mid-Atlantic ocean. Unfortunately, no survivors have been found."
"What the hell?" I yelled as I pulled into the driveway. "I need to make sure this is accurate." I was pulling out of the driveway in such a hurry, I didn't check to see if any cars were coming. Out of nowhere, a state farm truck crashed into my side and that's all I could remember.
