[PART 2]

Aphmau's P.O.V

"Aaron what the he-"

My words died in my throat as I obeyed Aaron.

In my sight was the most magnificent sky I have ever seen.

Stars twinkled in the sky in different colors, red, blue, magenta, the perfect pitch background twinkled the invisible dwarft.

For a moment, I forgot how to breathe because I was in space.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Aaron's voice boomed in my space.

Breathlessly I whispered back, "Magnificent..."

He deeply chuckled, leaving a tingling sensation burn through my system.

Then I saw something flashing across the sky.

"Aaron!" I exclaimed for a moment.

I tore my gaze from space to find him giving me a look of pure adoration.

"I saw something!" I exclaimed pointing at the sky.

"Well, I didn't bring you here just for the view..."

Then another one flashing through the sky, followed by another one then the next... Shooting stars.

I was a bit breathless, staring at space through this lens of the world made it look so surreal, I stretched my hand trying to feel it. Finally Aaron spoke.

"It's not that rare but it happens every 25 years. I come here when I'm feeling troubled but I thought sharing this moment with you is more precious."

I couldn't fight the tears that moistened my eyes when he said that. The shooting stars looked like diamonds falling on to earth. Each one passing the horizon disappeared, making me wonder the next person to see them.

"Aphmau... about college"

My heart froze.

I turned my face to him.

"I have been thinking about it and-"

"So was I." I cut him off.

I don't know if he noticed my body shaking, or the slight tremor in my voice but now more than ever, I want this moment to stretch to eternity.

"I've got accepted!" He exclaimed.

What...

"That's great!"

"I know."

Then silence. Is he purposely avoiding the topic?

I shifted my gaze back to the sky and let my mind wonder.

It's so dark but beautiful. The stars helped the empty darkness be the most beautiful sight I have ever laid eyes on.

Lost in thoughts and the beauty of the galaxy, I didn't notice Aaron standing up beside me.
He stood up, and stretched his hand out to me.

"Lets go back."

I snapped my gaze to him as I looked at his hand.

"Its not going to explode." He joked.

I chuckled at his half-hearted try and took his hand, standing up with him. He started leading me back to the park downhill.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Back to the party." He replied.

"Why?"

"Because we need to formally dance at least once."
