Dear you,
My eyes couldn't leave you today. They were plastered to your every step.
Our friends noticed. They notice everything. Lately, they gave up the torment and knowing glances. Until today, their antics started up again. I didn't mind; they were just having fun. You didn't mind. Heck, you didn't even notice me. I don't mind, though.
Do I?
Birdie, two days. Where were you? Would you tell me if I asked? You told one of our friends. I remember you had dragged them to the side in the morning. You talked slow yet sharp. I wanted to listen in. Trust me, every aspect of my body told me to, but I would never invade your space. Never, Birdie.
The one you told didn't look alarmed, it made me less unsettled. Yet, something pulled at me. You know the feeling that someone is staring at you, like you can feel their eyes on you. Paranoia. It surges through my nerves, overwhelms my senses, and tugs at my heart- begging to mistrust you.
I could never. No matter what you did.
Maybe that will be my weakness with you, Birdie.
Caring for you will come at its costs, Birdie, but with you, I'm prepared to pay the price.
