Chapter 5: I'll be there for you

October 1st, 2017

Jen's P. O. V.

“Colin! Please talk to me!” I was yelling again and again. I was all over him. I couldn't look away.

“Jen, come here and open the cell door!” Sean yelled, but I didn't respond. I just looked at Colin and tried to wake him up.

“Jen, give us the keys at least! Do you want another guy coming for a fight?” Lana rolled her eyes and said desperately. I finally brought myself to throw the keys and Josh got out.

“You found me.” he said to Ginnifer.

“Did you ever doubt I would?” Ginnifer quoted the show.

Lana rolled her eyes. Again.

“Technically, she didn't. Elyes did. And I want to thank him for that.” I said, looking at Elyes. He smiled.

“Nice to meet you, pal.” Josh greeted him.

10 minutes later

We got in the cars and I had Colin on.. Me. He was still unconscious, I was still trying to wake him up. He hit his head pretty badly. When 10 minutes had passed, tears started going down my face. I deep down knew that he was going to be okay, but I couldn't bear to look at him right now.

We got to the hospital pretty quickly and waited patiently.

“Any friends or family of Colin O'Donoghue?” We heard a nurse calling. Me and Josh got up from our seats pretty quickly. “He has a concussion. You can go see him.” I rushed into his room.

“Jen!” He squealed when he saw me in the room. “Wh-what happened, why am I here?” I sat next to him on his bed and patted his shoulder.

“You hit your head pretty badly.”

Colin tried to get up but I stopped him. “Can't you wait for a bit? We're gonna go home, I promise.” I smiled at him and placed my hand on his cheek.

“We? Home?” He had a weak but wicked smirk on his face.

“Someone has to watch you for a day, you idiot. And you saved me by giving yourself a concussion, so I have to pay the price.” I looked him in the eye and I had a really weird feeling I had never felt. I can't describe it, but looking at him for so long made me jump.

“Pay the price? Am I a burden for you?” He said and I laughed at this but then I realized he was dead serious. It's the first time he doesn't catch my joke. Because he always does.

“Colin... It was just a joke.” I rubbed the back of his head. “I love you.” I said that, not realizing that this was the first time I actually said to him I loved him without laughing or adding things. His smile was unimaginable at that moment.

“You do?” He grabbed my hand. I felt like I wanted to run away, even though it was a “friendly reminder”. Definitely friendly.

“I-” I tried to say. I couldn't find any words right now. But he was still holding on to my hand. And I couldn't leave him alone. “Come on, I'm gonna bring you some water.” I found the chance to leave the room.

I finally asked Josh to take the glass of water to him and I said that I had to go to the bathroom. It's the first time I'm really uncomfortable around him. It was not that way even when we kissed.

I locked myself in the bathroom of the hospital. I needed some time for myself to think what's wrong with my relationship with Colin. Something had apparently changed and I didn't notice it. I just feel it. And I need him to be my best friend that I'm always comfortable with. Not some guy I try my best to be normal around him.

I unlocked the door and got out. A huge guy with a mask was looking at me angrily.
I screamed in total fear. I was certain that everyone heard me.
“Shut up and don't move.” He warned me pointing a gun at me. It was not the first time this happened to me, so it was not the scariest thing. Let alone they never really shoot you. But I was still frightened.

I heard Josh running, I can recognize his steps clearly after all of these years. “Josh stay back!” I yelled but he clearly didn't listen at me. “You don't wanna be locked up again in less than 24 hours!”

“Look, fellas, we are not trying to hurt you. We just want to steal laughing gas to sell it to people who want to use it for their parties. I just happened to have my gun with me. But I'm gonna hurt you if you try to stop me.” The man said with a heavy British accent. I was sure that I recognized this voice.

“Are you kidding me, Jamie? A thief?!” I said when I recognized who he was.

“I can't even prank you after all these years?!” Jamie took off the full-face scarf. I laughed and Josh facepalmed himself. “What are you doing in a hospital?”

“You'll never believe what happened.” Josh said and started explaining what happened to Jamie. We were talking for a while, when I saw Emily come inside. God, I thought I'd never see her again.

I ran and stopped her before she got into Colin's room. “What are you doing here? I thought you two broke up?” Gosh why do I even care? Yes, I know I caused this. But I care too much.

“Jeez, can't I be friends with him?Anyway, I think I have found my true love. And it's not Colin. It was never about Colin.” she said with a ironic tone. Which I didn't like apparently.

“So, you were playing Colin for two years?”

“No! I just hadn't realized it. And... I am pregnant.” For a moment, I swear I thought she was gonna say that she is pregnant by Colin. But thank god. “I'm gonna make a new family. I just want to see Colin. Can I, miss O'Donoghue?”

“Miss what?” I asked confused. Of course I knew what she was implying.

“Sorry... Future miss O'Donoghue.” she said and went in.

Colin's P. O. V.

Jen was lying next to me. Gosh, she was supposed to check on me, but she was sleeping. And it was really cute. Shut up Colin, she made it clear she is your BEST FRIEND.

I put my arms around her and placed her head on my chest. She didn't wake up. I guess she was really tired from yesterday. I got up after a few minutes (although she made it clear not to get up from bed until it's evening) and went to the kitchen.

My head was feeling heavy, but I was feeling good. I decided to make pancakes for breakfast, for both of us. I was somehow excited for it.

Before the pancakes were ready, I heard her walk into the kitchen. “Colin, seriously? You have a concussion. I told you not to get up.” I turned around and smiled at her.

“I feel fine. And you're the one who needs rest after yesterday. And I'm gonna bring you your breakfast.” I had a wide grin on my face. I didn't know what was wrong with me. I knew I had feelings for her. But I was sure I was acting like a 17-year-old boy who has a crush on a girl.

“You're such a dork. I hate you.”

“Come on, I'm sure you want some pancakes.” she looked at me startled. And I realized why after a bit. “Emma come out of Jen's mind. We're not in Storybrooke, we're in Vancouver. And we're making pancakes. ACTUAL pancakes.”

“COLIN!!!”

“OKAY I'LL SHUT UP!!”

10 minutes later
And it happened. Again. It has to stop happening.

I shouldn't consider this a chapter but I had to upload, so sorry. But something interesting happened. And everything that's happening has got to do with the rest of the story, it's not random.😇😇😇😇
