First Kiss

Angelica was always the oldest kid in Daycare. She was 5 but she stayed there for her sisters. It sucked though. Her little sister Eliza found a "boyfriend" but Angelica saw him first. Alex was very cute, but Angelica saw that Eliza needed him more than she did.
One day Angelica was coloring in her lonely corner and she looked up and saw Thomas walk in.
'Ugh I hate Jefferson. I feel bad for anyone with that last name.'
But behind Thomas was a girl. She was taller than Thomas and maybe even older.
"Oh, hey Yn!" Mr. Washington, their teacher, greeted the older girl.
"Hey Mr. Washington!" She greeted back shaking his hand as he kneeled down.
"You're finally joining our class, huh" he said patting her shoulder.
"Yup! Auntie wanted me to watch over lil cousin Tommy! I've heard he's been getting into trouble with an Angelica Schuyler." She said ruffing Thomas's poofy hair. Thomas swatted Yn's hand and waddled away.
Angelica blushed and looked in amazement. This big kid knew her name!! She was very beautiful, and she looked strong and cocky. Kinda like Thomas but 10 times nicer. Her hair was in a ponytail with a (fav color) ribbon.
"Perfect! Class gather round!" Mr. Washington called the children around.
"We have a new student, introduce yourself lil chick." He said proudly.
"Hi I'm Yn Jefferson. Call me Nn(nickname). I'm Thomas's older cousin and I just turned 6 yesterday."
"Wow! She's already 6! Man she's like a high schooler! And she's Thomas's cousin! She's so cool!" The comments from the students continued. All expect Angelica's. She was blushing at Yn still. She felt stronger for her than she felt for Alex. But she was a girl... Was that ok?
"I decided her guide should be Angelica! Come here please!"
Angelica jumped up
"Here sir!" She walked up and held out her hand to Yn, "H-hi I'm Angelica Schuyler." She said trying to be confident. Yn took her hand and bowed.
"Oh Ms. Schuyler! It's a pleasure to meet you. Yn Jefferson. Call me Nn" She said as she kissed Angelica's knuckles. She blushed and Yn put down her hand and held out her arm for Angelica to take.
"So me around cutie." Yn said with a slight blush. Angelica took her arm and guided Yn around the classroom.
"And this is my coloring corner." Angelica said as she ended the tour.
"Does no one like to color with you?"
She questioned letting Angelica go and sitting next to her at the coloring table.
"No. It sucks cause all these lil kids don't like to color."
"Hey Tommy's you're age isn't he?"
Angelica's gaze darkened and said
"He crumbled 20 of my pictures."
"He did, huh? I'll have to talk to him about that." She said glaring at Thomas.
"Well I'll color with you if you'd like."
Angelica smiled and blushed.
"S-sure Nn!"
The two colored, talked and giggled in the coloring corner for a bit.
"I have to pee. I'll be back." Yn said. As she held up a peace sign as a signal to Mr.Wash that she had to go. He nodded and she stood up and walked to the bathroom. Angelica was left to color alone. Thomas came up to the table with James.
"Well well well." He picked up the picture Angelica was drawing and smirked. "Are you drawing my cousin?"
Angelica blushed and tried to get her picture back. "NO! GIVE IT BACK THOMAS!" Angelica said enraged.
"Ha ha ha ha ha. She's a Jefferson sweetheart. She'll never like you." Thomas ripped the paper in half. Angelica felt hot tears run down her face and she launched herself at Thomas. Before she could get to him Yn came up behind her and grabbed her by the waist. When she looked back at Yn she held an furious gaze. It wasn't at her though it was at Thomas.
"Thomas, we'll talk at home." She said simply, "James can you please go take him to the corner." Yn said setting down the crying Angelica.
"What! You can't-" Thomas started until Yn took him by the collar.
"I can and I am." She said sternly. James took Thomas's hand and nodded at Yn and walked him to the corner.
"You ok Angelica" she said in a caring tone.
"I'm fine I'm a big kid." She said wiping her face. Yn picked up the ripped paper and put the pieces back together.
"Hey is this..." She said slightly blushing. Angelica nodded and wiped her tears more.
"I uh, I think I like you. Even though I'm a girl and you're a girl. Is.. is that... Ok?"
Yn smiled widely and rubbed Angelica's back.
"Of course it's ok! I actually like you too." She said rubbing her neck. Angelica giggled and wrapped her arms around Yn's neck. She landed on top of her and they hugged the rest of free time. Angelica even slipped in a small kiss on the cheek that left Yn blushing and smiling. Yn kissed Angelica's cheek back. During nap time the slept near each other and snuggled a bit. When they woke up Angelica's younger sister Peggy was running around the block building that she built.
"Careful Peggy!" Eliza called, "I don't want you to knock it over and hurt yourself."
Peggy turned and screamed "WAT!" And she ran into the building. It toppled and Eliza and Angelica shouted "PEGGY!!!!" Before the blocks fell on Peggy, Yn grabbed her and shielded her from the blocks.
"THEY'VE BEEN HIT!!" Alex yelled. He started to throw the blocks off of them. Mulligan, Laurens, and Laf, helped. Suddenly a bloody Yn stood up from the mess with an unharmed Peggy.
"PEGGY!!" They screamed in unison. They all went up and hugged Peggy as Yn put her down. Mr. Washington ran over to Yn and took her hand. As the rest of the children weren't the least bit concerned about Yn. Angelica was. She was really hurt. Taking a a last glance at her sisters she rushed over to where Mr. Washington took Yn. He was applying band aids to her face, arms, and knees.
"Are you ok Nn?" Angelica asked holding her hand.
"I'm fine." Said with no sense pain.
"Are you sure? You have a lot of boo-boos..." She said in pity.
"I'm okay, really Angie."
"Ok and you're done. " Mr. Washington said as Yn jumped down from the table. Angelica kissed her cheek and held her hand.
"I'm sorry about that. My sister can be clumsy."
"Ah it's ok. We all get a bit clumsy sometimes." She smiled.
"Ok boys and girls. Time to say goodbye and go home."
"Bye Angelica." Yn said kissing Angelica's cheek before running to her car.
"Bye~" Angelica whispered.
"Come on Hon, time to go." Mr. Schuyler said, as he finished snapping Peggy and Eliza in their car seats. Angelica climbed in and snapped herself in and looked out the window for a while.
"Hey Daddy?"
"Yes Honey?"
"You know how Elizabeth's dating Alexander?"
"I wouldn't call it dating but yes honey I do." Mr. Schuyler chuckled.
"Well I'm dating someone too..."
"Oh? Who is he?" He asked amused
"It's actually a she..." Angelica said nervously
"What!!" Mr. Schuyler shouted. His excitement was mistaken for anger.
"I'm sorry Daddy I'll stop dating her! I didn't think it would upset you!" She said tear filled.
"No no no honey it's ok! It's great! I'm sorry if I frightened you."
"It's ok?" Angelica said surprised.
"Yes! Love who you want babygirl. No boundaries here." He smiled in the mirror.
Angelica smiled. She was finally satisfied. Even if her first date was at recess as she and Yn feed each other cookies and juice. She remembered that moment.
She laid her head on Yn's shoulder and said, "I want you to be mine forever." And Yn said back, "Then I will." Both children blushed as their eyes locked. Angelica leaned closer and Yn did the same. Angie put her hands on Yn's shoulders and Yn put her hands on Angie's waist. That's when their lips first connected...
