First Ring

It was Yn and Angelica's second year of college.
They both took it online so they could live together and near Angelica's old house. With just Peggy taking care of the boys and Catherine while Papa Schuyler was at work 24/7, they stayed close to help. But not this month. The last week of July and all of August meant one thing...
"All right guys. WATER BREAK!!"
Band Camp.
Yn and Angelica being alumni of the Drumline and Dance team were automatically put up for the positions of assistant band director and assistant dance coach.
They watched as the kids scurried to get water. Yn talked to the head drummajor reminding her on plan Z. The drummajor nodded and jumped on the podium.
"HEY BAND!" she yelled
"WHAT!" Was the response
"FORM THE X!"
"YES MA'AM!"
The band scurried to their spots and the drummajor turn to Yn and nodded. Yn thanked her and noticed that color guard and dance team didn't move. She rolled her eye knowing that they didn't want to be recognized as part of the band.
"Hey Color guard and Dance Team! You too." Yn said annoyed. The girls and guys on each team giggled and moved to their spots. Yn nodded at how things looked. Except for...
"Who put Peggy next to CR?" Yn said. She looked at CR she was no longer that shy and quiet freshman that carried the smallest bass drum. She was now a loud and outrageous Junior that grew in size and height that carried the heaviest bass drum. Peggy was second in command of color guard and she got a bit taller and wore a backwards snapback that was Yn's at one point.
"Peggy! CR! Stop flirting and focus!" Yn shouted shaking her head. Both teens blushed and silenced quickly.
Yn explained the plan and the Band/Guard/Dance agreed. Angelica came out and they all pretend to talk to each other. She climbed up to the top of the bleachers and sat next to Yn and kissed her lips.
"Ugh, sorry for taking so long. Drinking yesterday for my 21st birthday wasn't a great idea." She giggled. Angelica's first time drinking was yesterday, and while Yn sipped on a single glass of wine last night, let's just say Angelica drank more that she could stomach...
"So should we get them started?"
"Yeah we should. Go ahead Sally!" Yn called to the head drummajor.
She nodded and called
"Band Ten Hut!" Horns and sticks went to playing position. Sally started the tempo. Angelica watched the dancers and realized, they weren't doing the routine she taught them...
"Hey Yn?"
"Hmm" she said innocently.
"Why aren't they doing the show?"
"Oh they're practicing for a street routine."
"Oh..." Angelica said confused.
The band started to play "Marry You" by Bruno Mars. Angelica didn't recognize the song at first. The kids made formations like rings, Yn and Angelica's initials in a heart, and many more love formation. Angelica gasped as she realized what was happening. Turned to Yn but she was gone. She looked around and then a loud trumpet blast scared her. She snapped her head that direction and saw Yn with her old snare drum on. She stood on two other snare drums as she played a solo. Angelica smiled, but realized the band moving into another formation.
"Will"
"You"
"Marry"
"Me"
The Formation spelled out. The dance team pointed an arrow to Yn as she took off the drum and handed it to Peggy. Peggy threw her the ring and kneeled still on top of the snares.
Angelica felt tears on her face and yelled down
"YES!"
Yn whooped in excitement and did a black flip off the drums and ran towards Angelica as Angelica ran towards Yn. They ran into each other and fell laughing. They kissed intensely and tears rolled down Angelica face. Yn put the ring on Angelica and smiled. The bamd, color guard, and dance team members that knew Yn and Angelica through highschool instantly made a dog pile on top of them the laughed and giggled for a while until they all got off.
"Ok guys. That's all for today." Yn said holding Angelica.
"Go back in the band room so we can do stands tunes!" All the kids cheered and rushed inside. While the band could play actual fun songs the Dance Team and Color guard could free style and do whatever dances they wanted.
Angelica walked in with Yn holding her waist. She laid her head on her shoulder and sighed.
"So should we join them?" She said looking up at at Yn.
"Hmm... Hey Sally!" Yn called
"Yeah Nn?" Sally rushed over.
"You're in charge. I have to discuss something with Miss Angie here." Yn said smirking.
"Alight ma'am." She said rushing back into the band hall.
Yn dragged Angelica into her office and closed the door, locked it and blocked the window.
"You dirty girl." Angelica swooned jumping into her fiance's arms and wrapping her legs around her hips.
"Ha, guilty..." Yn said kissing Angelica and placing her on the desk.....
Let's just say they were in there making a bit of music of their own❤️
