Riley's P.O.V.
I'm sitting in my bay window it's about eight in the morning, and I couldn't be happier. I have a great family, wonderful friends and Maya. Maya is my best friend we've been best friends ever since I can remember, I don't think I would be the same person without her. I smile, everytime I think of the blonde I can't help but smile.
As if she could hear my thoughts Maya suddenly comes in through the window to sit next to me.
"Hey Riles" she says smiling at me
"Peaches!" I say excited to see her. We just sit in silence for a few moments, but not an awkward silence but just a nice comfortable silence.
My father opens the door breaking the silence,
"get up and eat breakfast before we leave!" he shouts
"where are we going?" I ask confused.
"I thought I told you yesterday we're going to the fair." he says
"I guess I didn't hear you" I reply shrugging. "Can Maya come?" I ask
"we already talked to Katy, she can come" my father says looking at his watch
"Yay!" I shout jumping up, I grab Maya's hand and run to the kitchen to eat breakfast so we can leave.
"Geez slow down Riley." Maya says
When I reach the kitchen table, I sit down with Maya.
"uh, Honey" Maya says slightly blushing, Wait why is she blushing? I think. I feel something pulling my hand I look down, I see that I'm still holding onto Maya's hand.
"Sorry" I quickly say realising her hand as a blush creeps onto my face. I don't know why I'm blushing, Maya and I always hold hands but lately it just feels different. I was broken out of my thoughts by my mom setting a plate of cinnamon rolls on the table.
"eat up!" my mom says sitting down as we start eating breakfast.
After we all finished eating, we all headed out to the car. My dad sat in the driver's side and started the car as my mom opened the back door to help my little brother into the car, I walked over to the opposite side of the car and opened the back door and slid into the middle knowing that Maya likes to sit next to the window, after I had sat in the car Maya followed taking her seat and shutting the door with a slam. After my mom sat in the passenger's side we were off to the fair.
About fifteen minutes into the drive I felt a weight on my shoulder, I looked to see that Maya had fallen asleep and rested her head on my shoulder, I couldn't help but let a smile find it's way to my lips She's so cute when she sleeps. Wait what, why would I think something like that we're just friends. I don't like Maya like that her and I are just really good friends, yup just good friends.
We finally arrived at the fair after a thirty minute drive. I shook Maya's shoulder successfully waking her up, she slowly sat up and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes
"are we there yet" she asked yawning
"yeah,now move so I can get out of the car" I say pushing her out of the car "alright, I'm going" she said giggling and moving out of the car.
Once we had payed for our entry to the fair, we walked into the front entrance. After we walked through the entrance, my mom turned around
"girls, you two are old enough to go on the rides by yourselves but you have to meet us back here in three hours." my mother said
