CHAPTER 15

Everything became a blur.

It was as if I had taken eight shots of vodka and blacked out from alcohol poisoning.

I was with him and then he was gone.

I searched the halls, I searched classrooms, I did everything I could to avoid the team of Nazi-looking cult members.

Where is Ethan? Did he leave me on purpose? Was his goal to trick me into coming with him so he could kill me?

I've got to find him and Grayson before more people die.

ETHAN'S POV:

"Where the fuck is she Gray," I panic, "she was right here a second ago. Right here!"

Tears surface in my eyes.

I lean my forehead against a wall and slam my fist into it.

"Ethan! You're going to get us caught," Grayson whispers, grabbing my shoulder.

I push him off of me, "I'd rather die than walk out of here alive with her gone! Do you understand me Grayson? If I don't find her...," I say, unable to finish my sentence.

I don't know what I'd do if I lost her.

"Calm down dude. We'll find her," Grayson reassures me.

We begin to search the entire school until we reach one hallway.

I listen as someone continuously whispers my name.

It's her.

MADI'S POV:

I hear footsteps coming in my direction.

Not knowing who it is, I shut my mouth and hide.

His voice calls my name, drawing me out.

I turn the corner down multiple hallways knowing I'm steps closer to him.

As I walk through another vacant hallway a gunshot goes off.

I sprint in the direction it came from.

My mouth drops open, unable to process what I see.

Ethan's body drops to the ground in front of me, as one of the cult members sprint off in another direction.

I felt my legs take me to him as I rushed to his side, practically falling on the ground to be with him.

"Ethan no please," I cry and grab his head, putting it in my lap.

Blood spills over my hands.

I glance at the fatal gunshot to his temple.

Tears stream down my face as I curl over his body and weep.
