I woke up to rays of light shining through my pink curtains on my face... that and my alarm clock. I opened up my hazel eyes dazed a bit. I looked up and my smooth white ceiling.
"Another day of boring 10th grade." I sighed. I sat up and looked around my nice clean room.
I quickly got out of queen size bed and my warm soft covers, and went to my walk in closet to see what I could wear.
I opened up my white French doors that led into my closet.
I walked through and found a purple peace sign American Eagle shirt, a white tank top, and some jeans. I walked out of my closet, feeling my new white carpet on my feet.
I went into my own bathroom, which was connected to my room, to the left of my glass wall. I got my shower running and quickly did my bathroom business.
I came out 20 minutes later fresh and clean. I put my wavy blackish brown hair in a clip and wore a purple headband to keep my swoop bangs back.
I walked out of my bathroom and put on some purple flats that I got for my 16th birthday 3 months ago. I went over to my bed and took everything off of it.
First my black and my hot pink peace sign pillows, then my black and hot pink comforter- which has a huge peace sign on it, then my black sheets with a hot pink line on the top, and then lastly my hot pink fitted sheet.
I put them in the corner of my room for the maid to clean them and put them back on. I walked out of my room and into the long hallway.
I passed my older brothers room, his door was closed so he was probably still asleep.
I also walked past me parent's room, which was always empty.
My mom is a work 24/7 person. So she is never home, she goes on business trips every month, and stays for a while. She gets so much money out of it though, so I guess it's a good thing.
Then my dad left my mom 5 years ago, so he is never around...
I walked down the long wooden 30 steps of stairs to get to the first floor of my house.
"Morning, Brittney." My maid greeted me in the kitchen. Her name is Rashel, she came from Cuba, and she has a very rough accent. She was wearing a nice blue shirt and some black leggings. Her blonde hair was in a messy pony tail.
"Morning!" I greeted her back and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She's like a mother to me.
"How did you sleep." She asked me. She was making some breakfast for me and my brother.
"I slept pretty well. I could've slept longer though..." I said.
"That's good darling, glad to hear that. I think I might have to get Alexander up in a few minutes. You know how he likes that snooze button." She said laughing.
I laughed too. "Yeah, he does." I said.
Rashel put a huge plate of: eggs, bacon, and pancakes in front of me.
"Eat up." She said.
"Thanks." I replied.
"Now I'm off to go wake up your brother, if I don't come back in 5 minutes. Help." She said. I laughed as she went up the stairs.
I ate all my eggs, part of my pancakes and only 2 ½ strips of bacon.
My brother came down stairs with Rashel right on his heels.
His hair was a complete total black mess. He was wearing his jersey shorts and an old t shirt.
"Good morning sunshine..." I said.
He looked at me like I was crazy.
"Shut up..." he mumbled.
I laughed.
"Eat. you have school in 1 hour." Rashel snapped at him.
"Yes Ma'am" he said. He got himself some pancakes and eggs. He ate it quickly.
"Going to get dressed." He said. He quickly ran up the stairs to his room.
"Lord can't even help him..." I sighed.
I got up and went to my room to get my Coach purse and my IPhone. While I was up their, I put on some perfume and my necklace.
I checked myself in my full length black mirror.
Good to go!
I left my room closing my door behind me. I met up with Alex in the hall.
He was wearing his black Aeropostale shirt and some shorts. His hair was back in its normal form.
I think the black shirt makes his green eyes pop out more.
"Let's get this crappy day done with..." he sighed.
"You got 1 more year left..." I said.
"Yes, one more crappy year." He sighed.
We walked down the stairs.
"Bye Rashel, See you when we get home!!" I called over my shoulder.
"Oh no, no!!" She yelled.
Alex and I both stopped in our tracks.
"Si father is very sick, I must go visit him!" she said quickly.
"So that means that...?" Alex started.
"Si means that I won't be here to take care of you for week." She said.
"Oh, it's ok; go it won't do any harm to us!! We can hold the house down until you come back." I said.
She looked at us with joy in her eyes.
"Thank you!! Oh, Thank you!!" she said.
She ran up to both of us and gave us a tight hug.
"Cant... breathe... Rashel..." Alex said
"Oh sorry, sorry." She quickly apologized.
"It's ok. So when are you leaving?" I asked.
"Later today..." she said quietly.
"Oh... well I hope you have a safe trip, call me when you are leaving." I said.
"Yeah, yeah, I will." She said.
"Bye Rashel." Alex and I said together.
We both went outside to our garage.
"Which car today..." Alex sighed.
"Let's take the escalade." I said. I love that car... Its leather on the inside and black on the outside.
"Ok..." Alex said.
We quickly got in and left the house.
"Realize that we are having a party tonight." Alex said excitedly.
"Uhh... we can't. We told Rashel we would hold down the house until she was back." I said.
"And we are, only just we are having a party..." He trailed off.
"No we aren't." I said.
"Yes, we are. I'm the oldest so whatever I say, goes." He said.
I sighed in defeat.
