Roman swinged open the door to room '911', a bag carried in one hand and a large grin on his face.
"Patton, Logan! We are going to talk to a ghost and possibly spawn a demon!" Roman cheerfully called out, closing the door and placing the bag on the table.
"Pardon me, Roman? We're going to spawn a demon?" Logan said, looking up from the book he was reading.
"Yup!" Roman replied, the smile still plastered on his face.
"Uh, that sounds a bit weird and dangerous, doesn't it? Besides, if we do, what ghost are we gonna spawn?" Patton called out, walking into the small kitchen. Fear and excitement glazed in his eyes.
"Well, sit down!" Roman grabbed his bag and sat down next to Logan to the kitchen table, placing the bag between the three men.
Roman grabbed the item out of the bag, revealing the infamous Ouija Board.
The two other men widen their eyes, both grabbing a near by cross and pointing it at the Ouija Board.
"THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!" The two yelled, glaring at the Ouija Board.
"Calm down! Wouldn't want to spawn more demons, would we?!" Roman laughed, despite the two other men glaring at him.
"What are we even spawning though?" Logan asked, fixing his glasses and placing the cross down.
"Well," Roman started, whipping out his phone and pressing some things,"Rumour has it that in the late 1900's a man, around our age, killed himself in this room,911, by hanging himself. When authorities found him, his body was rotting for 4 weeks. It is said that his spirit is seen lurking the halls of the building. They say his aura makes you anxious, makes you think bad things, makes you want to end your life right on the spot."
"And we're gonna try to contact him?" Patton asked, shocked yet something in his voice was filled with curiosity.
"Yup. So let's start."
< Time skip because I don't want to explain things>
The three men sat on the chairs at the dining table, each having two fingers on the small planchette. The three men moved the planchette over the board, all while saying,"Are their any spirits that would like to talk to us?"
The men stopped the planchette on the place it was before.
Logan frowned, opening his mouth to say something but shut it as the planchette moved slowly to the YES.
"Uhh....what's your name?" Patton asked quickly, his eyes wide and looking at the planchette as it slowly moved over to the letters.
It spelled out V-I-R-G-I-L very slowly, staying on the L. Roman bit his lip,"Are you the Virgil from the 1900's? If so, give us a sign."
The room stayed quiet, before all men jumped as one of Logan's book fell from the shelf. It was Logan's Alice In Wonderland book.
"W-was that your sign...?" Logan asked hesitantly, watching as the planchette moved to the YES.
Roman felt something tug at his guts. He suddenly felt anxious yet confident. He decided to mess around with this supposedly demon.
"Are you an chill ghost, Virgil?" Roman asked, his eyes calm, shoulders relaxed.
The planchette moved to the YES again.
"Is Casper truly a friendly ghost or just like “friendly” to your face, but talks shit about you behind your back?" Roman asked again, a smirk tugging at his lips.
"Uhh, Roman what are you doing?" Patton asked nervously, his eyes gazing at Roman.
"Asking questions." Roman replied back.
The planchette quickly move to the letters, creating, F-U-C-K N-O F-U-C-K-B-O-Y.
Roman grinned widely, his brown eyes lighting up. He laughed softly, his cheeks heating up with a soft shade if red.
"Uh, Roman, what are YOU doing? Don't forget we're talking to a demon or ghost." Logan warned, narrowing his deep-brown eyes.
"He seems chill." Roman replied, looking straight into Logan's eyes. "You gonna ask questions or nah?" Roman asked, looking at the two men.
"Uhh....will I ever get a puppy?" Patton asked, his heart doubting Virgil.
The planchette moved to the YES quickly. Patton widen his eyes and smiled. "Really?! Wow, look Logan, Imma get a puppy soon!"
Logan grumbled something. "Is the puppy gonna die quickly?" Logan muttered, his eyes fixed to the planchette as it moved to the NO slowly.
"Fuck you." Logan snapped, glaring at the planchette as it suddenly moved all over the board.
The three men retreated their fingers as a large shock shocked their fingers. "Ow!" Roman cried out, cradling his fingers.
"Sorry not sorry." A voice chuckled behind them. The three living souls jumped out of their seats, scrambling away from the voice.
Their eyes wandered over to a guy, who was staring at them. He had a purple and black hoodie, black ripped skinny jeans, and black combat boots. He also had black eyeshadow under his eyes.
His eyes.
They where hazey-mocha, something Roman found beautiful. But, his eyes were ancient and mysterious, they seemed to hold everything.
"Virgil." Roman breathed out, the other man's eyes snapping towsrds him.
"That's my name." Virgil purred, his eyes closing as he leaned his body towards the chair.
"Uhh...why are you here..?" Logan asked, frowning as he had an eyebrow archered up.
Virgil snapped his eyes open. His eyes were now dark, and Patton wondered if Logan said something offensive.
"Can I not be here?" Virgil snapped,"Besides, it's been a long time since somebody actually talked to me. It's been a few years since I came back and checked in my old room." Virgil said, his eyes looking around the room.
"You guys sure changed it. Isn't the same as I remember." Virgil murmured quietly, closing his eyes again.
He stood up, standing exactly at 6'2. Roman frowned, narrowing his rich-brown eyes.
"I usually don't show myself to people, only on accidents." Virgil opened his eyes, half-lidded.
"Then why did you show yourself to us?" Patton asked, his eyes now warm.
"I uh, need to tell you something important." Virgil replied. "There will be a new peer, who will not be a living soul. He is not human, his is one of me. He will try to trick you and destroy you, do not let him. Logan, you must out-smart him. Patton, you must make him sick to the stomach, as he does not like positive emotions. Roman, you must protect the others. The three of you must be strong and ready, as he will try everything in his power to destroy you."
"O-oh...." Roman replied, digging his nails into his palm.
Virgil looked at them all sadly. "I am truly sorry but it is the truth. Listen to my advise, and you will survive. If something goes wrong, I will be there to help you. But, please, try and defeat him. He is not trustworthy. He is a lier. He is not good. Defeat him no matter what happens. Please. Promise me you will."
Roman stayed silent, Logan looked away, all while Patton looked at Virgil sadly.
"Promise me you will." Virgil said again, his voice being more forceful. "We...we promise. We promise we'll try to defeat him." Patton replied, smiling at Virgil.
Virgil cracked a smile. "Thank you."
