Living A So Called Life
Part 3; What Do I Do?
**** = Change of POV
Sitting down in my seat in form I sighed. It was getting so close to the end of the week now, meaning it was getting closer and closer to study leave. Rubbing my eyes, they flickered open as Mitch appeared in front of me making me jump.
“Blimey, don’t freak me out like that!” I begged.
“Sorry, I just wanted to see if you’re alright.” He said.
“I’m just tried, I and my mum had an argument last night and I was working how I should say to a celebrity when I call him up.” I explained.
“Let me guess, one of the boys out of 1D gave you there number…” I nodded.
“Zacs gonna hate you!” Mitch added.
“I haven’t said anything’s happened between us, I’m just to scared for anything to happen…only because I kind of like Zac as well.” I admitted blushing bright red.
“I won’t say anything, just think about this and where it will get you.” He said.

Looking down at the paper and then at my phone, I didn’t know what to say or what to do. I felt totally stupid doing this, it just didn’t seem right. Stuffing my phone and the paper back in my pocket, I looked in the mirror and sorted out my hair before walking out of the toilets and outside. Taking my blazer of, I laid it down on the floor and sat down, sighing as I did so.
“What’s up with you?” Zac asked.
“I’m just tired, things happening at home again and all that.” I replied.
“Mum was having a go at me because she’ll think I’ll fail my GCSE’s and now that the One Direction boys have offered to publish my fanfics, she hates me more than I already do.” I added.
“Look, if you ever want a place to stay we’re all here.” Lilly offered.
“Thanks guys.” I thanked.
“Wait Mollie, does anyone know what you told me earlier?” Mitch asked wrapping his arm around Sophie’s waist.
“What that Zayn Malik has given me his number?” I blurted not even thinking…oh dear.

Fiddling with my phone, I waited for her to call. It had been nearly 24 hours since I left her with my number, all I wanted was for her to say she’d got it. What if she didn’t like me? What if I’d made a mistake with her? All I wanted was to get her attention; you know ask her out and all that.
“Zayn come on, we’re going to get some food…” Niall said.
“I’m not hungry…” I groaned looking down at my phone.
“What is up with you mate?” Louis asked.
“Nothing, everythings fine.” I replied.
“I think I know whats the matter, you’re waiting for her to call aren’t you?” Liam asked.
“Maybe.” I replied as I felt my self blush red.
“If she’s not gonna call, maybe she’s too good for you man. Maybe she’s even got a boyfriend, you saw the way she was flirting with some of those guys right?” Harry laughed.
“Or maybe she’s having family problems? If you guys had listened, you would have heared that she’s had a tuff background. Surely you would have seen it all on her twitter as well!” Liam huffed, that’s when my phone started to ring.
“That might be her…” I gasped.
“Go answer it!” The boys chorused.
Running outside, I took a breather and answered the call. Smiling I hoped it was her, I just didn’t want to be let down like I had by most girls. For once I felt there could be something special between us.
“Hey, is this Zayn? Its Mollie.” The voice said.
“Yes this is Zayn, I’ve been waiting on your call.” I replied.
“Don’t sound creepy, at least I know its you. I only wanted to check if it was you, I’m kind of in a rush at the moment.” She sighed.
“Going anywhere?” I asked.
“No just got a few problems going on really.” She answered.
“Do you want to talk about them?” I asked.
“I really don’t have the time, I’m sorry Zayn. Can I ring you back in an hour or so? I’ve got revision to do.” She explained.
“Alright, we’ll speak then.” I sighed. Should I be worried?

“MOLLIE ALLEN COMES BACK HERE NOW!” My mum shouted. It was another one of those days and as always late at night, waking up the neighbours, keeping me up. All I wanted to do was cry and that’s what I had to do. Hopefully this last time this would happen, every day I say this but now my times come…I have to go. Ignoring what my mum had said, I started to pack my bags. Looking in my purse hoping to find a bit of money, there was nothing there. Mum had given up, it was now 9pm she’d gone to bed as for me I crept out the front door. Pulling out my phone, I typed in Scarlett’s number. Waiting, there was finally an answer.
“Scarlett…can I stay at yours tonight?” I asked walking down the road.
“Sure, what happened?” She replied.
“Mum…any chance I can get a lift?” I asked.
“Alright, meet us at the bus stop…we’ll be 10 minutes.” She answered. Its only people like her that ever understood my life.

Walking slowly in to Scarletts room, I sat down on the air bed she’d set up for me. Having Scarlett as one of my best friends was amazing, lets be honest…I don’t know what the hell I’d do without her. She’s been through thick and thin with me since we met in year 7, when we leave there will be tears for the both of us. Just then my phone lit up with Zayns number as I slipped on a hoodie.
“Who is it?” Scarlett asked.
“Its just a friend, give me a minute.” I replied and rushed down stairs and out the back door. I completely forgot about ringing Zayn back, what an idiot I am.
“Zayn, before we go anywhere I am so sorry I didn’t call you back. There’s just been a few problems at home and revision and stuff.” I explained.
“Hey its alright, don’t worry about it. Look I was just wondering if you wanted to get a coffee this weekend, you know just the two of us for the day.” He offered.
“I’ll have a look, its just I’m not at home at the moment. My friends letting me stay at hers for a few days because of stuff at home, but I’ll text you.” I replied.
“Alright, well I best let you go. Have a nice evening and I’m here if you want a chat.” He said and the line went dead, that did not just happen.
That’s part 3, feedback please – Molls xx
